Where exactly is Zach Lahn? Guy won the GOP nomination a week ago, hasn't had public events since, not doing any message roll-outs, barely posting on social media. Did he just go home to Kansas?
Trump quits his interview: "You're either crooked or you're stupid…Your elections are crooked. You're crooked. Meet The Press is crooked. And so is ABC, and CBS, and CNN…Alright, let's call it quits because I've had enough. Thank you, darling. Have a good time."
"I'll be in Iowa as much as humanly possible" isn't the answer Iowans deserve from someone running for governor of our state. We need a leader who's all in for Iowa—not a political operative who spends more time in Kansas.
“Are we going to allow this to happen? Allow Randy Feenstra to win on June 2nd? And then what will happen? @RobSandIA will be the next governor of Iowa,” @ZachLahn says at West Des Moines event hours after Trump endorsed Feenstra for #IAGov
Ashley Hinson's campaign is turning Democrats away from her meet and greets, including Kasey Conrad and friends, who RSVP'd and had tickets for Tuesday's event in Mt. Pleasant.
As a member of Congress, Hinson hasn't held a town hall open to the public since last August. #IASen
CNN put together a montage of Trump officials, including Trump himself, saying over and over again for nearly three months now that gas prices are about to drop, any day now
Trump is now reportedly responsible for roughly 27.7% of the entire U.S. national debt accumulated under all presidents combined.
That is an astonishing figure historically.
The national debt just crossed $39 trillion.
President Trump has added roughly $12–13 trillion to the debt across his two terms in office.
That’s approximately 30% of ALL U.S. national debt accumulated since 1789.
In 2016, Trump said he would pay down the national debt “over a period of eight years.”
Instead:
- First term: +$7.8 trillion
- Second term: roughly +$4–5 trillion already
And yes, COVID affected first-term spending.
It does not explain adding another trillion dollars every five months without a pandemic.
A political movement built on:
“fiscal conservatism”
“small government”
“balanced budgets”
has now overseen the largest debt expansion tied to any single presidency in American history.
If this deal with Iran is real, I will welcome it because every day this insane war goes on, America gets weaker. The priority is to end the war - now.
But make no mistake: these are Iran’s terms. Our nation emerges humiliated.
1/ A 🧵 on what we know about the deal right now.
"The governor’s race in November is shaping up to be an unusually competitive one"
"More than 1,500 registered Republicans have donated to his campaign"

A plurality of Republicans think 79-year-old Donald Trump would beat them in a fight, according to a new YouGov poll.
The same poll found that 71% of Democratic women think they could take Trump, compared to just 46% of Republican men
It's a cult
Conservatives want to police how we talk about Donald Trump—while excusing how the president talks about everyone else, @jonathanchait argues: https://t.co/xH3N8v0EB1
"The disdain and hatred for Bondi and Blanche pale like a white hot sun compared to the way agents feel about Kash Patel."
@CarolLeonnig tells @Timodc FBI sources describe the Bureau under Kash Patel as chaotic, demoralized and defined by deep internal contempt for its director.
Hegseth: "Europe needs the Strait of Hormuz more than we do. Get in a boat. This is their fight, not ours"
The US closed the Strait which was open before the war. So, it's now Europe's fight?
So the FBI's priority list under Kash Patel is:
1. Investigate a journalist for reporting on the Director’s girlfriend
2. Sue The Atlantic for reporting on the Director’s drinking problem
3. Avoid arresting a single powerful man implicated in the Epstein files
Did I miss anything?
