Just dove into Malcom Gladwell's "Blink" and it is absolutely intriguing. As a photographer, I typically have a feeling within the first five minutes of a consultation that the couple will be booking. Anyone else?

📸 Photograoher: Do you remember the first time you used presets in Lightroom (or actions in PS)? The new Fuji Everyday Pack from @mastinlabs unlocked all the good memories from those early days of editing.

💰If someone dropped off a bag of $$$ and said, “go take a road trip this week” where would you go?

🌎Here’s one from the rugged coastline of Northern California and I’d have to say, that’s probably where I’d end… https://t.co/uw0jbgwtmg

🗽This happens ALL THE TIME: “hey Scott, how did you start shooting weddings in NYC if your studio was in Linden, CA?”
.
.
Look up Linden, CA...it is rural, Central Valley California. Why would someone from NYC hire https://t.co/FTCb8hVPvT

❤️Do you know what happens more during the holidays than any other time of the year?

💍Yep, ENGAGEMENTS. I’m ready and looking forward to photographing more local couples here in SoCal.

🌊The lineups are emptying out, the traffic is dying down, and it’s time to go chase that swell. Oh and the offshores are back! Who’s stoked?

🤷‍♂️When I first started in photography I was utterly clueless. What made it worse? I thought I knew everything! I was so wrapped up in the technical that I lost the feel of what it was all about.

🎉There some venues that host multiple weddings in one day and you can tell. Others, like @BacaraResortSB do it and you’d never even know. They are MASTERS!
