I don’t understand modern video game releases sometimes. Release now, patch them later. That’s the pattern.

Marvel’s Wolverine just added toggles for Nightmare Door roots, Whisky scent trails and Material Crate audio clues.

And yeah, it’s good that they listened. But was this really the big problem?

A lot of the criticism was about the navigation scent trails. Insomniac already toned those down in the first hotfix, and now we’re getting toggles for the optional versions too.

A few patches later, we finally have settings that should’ve been there on day one.

Some players want the visual guidance, others prefer a cleaner, or HUD-less experience. Just give us the choice at launch.

It’s a good addition, but it shouldn’t take controversy and multiple patches to get basic gameplay options.

Still, credit to Insomniac for listening. It’s just unfortunate that players who finished the game at launch never got these options.
