FIRST ON FOX: A 3x deported illegal migrant from Mexico has been charged after a crash that killed a 6-year-old girl in North Carolina.

Officials say 33-year-old Jaime Santiago ran a stop sign on July 3, striking an SUV with a mother and her two children inside. 6-year-old Calli Toller was killed. Her mother and 4-year-old sibling were taken to hospital.

DHS tells Fox News Santiago illegally re-entered the country 4 times and was deported three times. North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the lead investigating agency, says he was also driving with a revoked license.

Carona is charged with: 
-Misdemeanor death by vehicle
-Failure to stop for a stop sign 
-Careless and reckless driving
-Driving while license revoked. 

ICE has lodged a detainer on Santiago who is currently being held at the Pitts County Detention Center in Greenville, NC. The sheriff’s office tells me they will cooperate with that detainer.
