It’s like watching a bad movie where you pick the twist: the asset rich buying any new housing stock and keeping rents extortionately high, absorbing any financial relief provided in the budget and the government saying we could never have predicted this #Auspol2024
Ask anyone who doesn’t have 2+ houses, receive franking credits or benefit from successive capital gains tax incentives how to solve the housing crisis. They’ve probably got a few ideas #Auspol2024
Instead of removing the incentives that motivate asset rich individuals to obtain more assets, let’s lower deposits, buy in too and inflate the market even further to funnel more money to already asset rich individuals. Maybe I’m the weird one #auspol
Why is the answer never, “stop incentivising the asset rich to obtain more assets”, but always, “give those struggling to pay the asset rich more money to pay the asset rich what they are asking” #auspol
In Victoria Scripture is run outside curriculum hours. It is time for NSW politicians to listen to parents and the profession and do the same. We need more teachers not Preachers. Please sign the petition below. https://t.co/vAs6ApAqNp
It’s official. The Heads of Agreement poised to make beginning and top-of-scale school teachers the nation’s best paid – and deliver increases to all others – has been signed. @henryrajendra@pruecar https://t.co/I0CzJHdoDx
@ChrisHeHim1 I take my hat off to him. The constant interruptions and ridiculous, negative questioning. Such strength of character to put up with it and push on.
“It is expected to make a massive difference to the teacher shortages which have hit the education system hard in recent years, with the high starting salary set to attract graduating high-school students to pursue a career in education.”
