@mrsweetleftfoot@_the_burns@DempsterMartin Nothing to do with effort, these boys will have tried really hard. It was a disappointing outcome, that happens in golf. Some of these boys have performed really well this season.
@DempsterMartin@ScotsmanSport@edinburghsport@ScottishGolf@MurcarLinksGolf Should have tried to give everyone 2 rounds. A long trip home for these families after 1 round of golf. Also potentially unfair if you played in the worst weather. Wrong time of year for this event. More suited to the Boys Matchplay.
@DempsterMartin@lb14447262@carol_dempster Shame there is very little coverage of the Scottish Amateur this year. I thought the Scotsman would have sent you to Murcar Martin.
@DempsterMartin@EuropeanTour@ScotsmanSport@edinburghsport There must be hundreds of talented young European golfers gutted by this decision to cancel Q-School again. Basically no knew young talent on the European Tour for at least two years. It will be interesting to see how many try for the Q-School in America.
@DempsterMartin@ScottishGolf@TheScotsman@ScotsmanSport@edinburghsport I totally agree. SG should concentrate on clubs and their members like me. Performance should be run separately through the SIS and sponsorship. I can tell you how much was spent on the so called "elite" last year. Nothing. The performance programme was abandoned last March.
@DempsterMartin@ScotsmanSport@TheScotsman@edinburghsport The amateur to professional pathway isn't really a pathway. Players will still be jumping off a cliff when changing to professional status. Amateur/professional are old fashioned ideas. Better having a series of overlapping categories which allows more flexibility.
@DempsterMartin@Hannahgolfer13@sahnscott@ScotsmanSport@TheScotsman@edinburghsport Stuart Wilson says that there is still time for other players to play their way into contention? Which tournaments before May does he have in mind? Why has the Walker Cup been moved to May? Big disadvantage for British golfers. https://t.co/DQW55p5W9p
@NickRodger1 I think "brute force" is a bit harsh Nick. He has learned how to move his body better to deliver the club more efficiently to apply greater force. If it was just "brute force" he would not have such a low dispersion with the driver.
