@aledgwynj Timing of the election critical I think.
2022 Council elections in midst of a Westminster Tory gov, everyone went labour.
2026 Labour Westminster Gov giving the people choice between Reform and Plaid.
Nationalism rising across Europe and we've seen it in these results I think
@LloydCymru Swansea Gower polling station, was told the turnout was "steady" at midday when I voted. But acknowledged higher than the usual Senedd footfall
@bluegarnedd@RUKWales COVID - included into the statistics.
But you can't really say that the reduction in serious road collisions produces a negative effect and burden on the NHS?
@gavmarten@Cai_ParryJones I agree targeted approaches shouldnb be key to any regimental change.
But if we can save lives, money and resources - where's the issue?
Yes it should be targeted, but to roll it back in it's entirety to degrade the benefits is counter intuitive to the electorate IMO
@gavmarten@Cai_ParryJones So multiple years of data should also be needed to assess the financial impacts that has also?
The argument of reduction prior to the introduction does include COVID statistics where little to no traffic was on the road.

@d123456bb Reform don't want to win an election, they just want enough of a presence to be in opposition and anti any policy motioned by an incumbent government.
It's the equivalent to winning a speedboat on bullseye and living in Bradford - won top prize and no clue what to do with it
@LlyrPowell Since switching to 20mph, Wales road casualties hit a record low—down 28%. This is on track to save the NHS £92m annually.
England’s casualties only fell ~5% in the same period.
How do Reform plan to plug that £92m AND cut income tax by 1%?
