Winter… I mean Spring Break?!? Sometimes warm ☀️ isn’t in the cards but the ultimate goal of spending time together outside was achieved. All weather conditions welcomed, okay well most 🙃🙂
Some of my strongest childhood memories are cooking with my mom in our kitchen so naturally, I love cooking alongside my kids and passing the traditions on — even when Raven grills me with the tough questions! (1/3)
Today got me wondering if I have time to chase that marathon personal best. Funny how the current running conditions and some reverie can get the motivational juices flowing. (3/3)
This morning brought me back to the 2006 @austinmarathon. Freezing rain, snizzle or whatever you want to call it covered most of the course. Somehow they managed to throw sand on some of the corners but a lot of it felt like an ice rink. (1/3)
Not the conditions I was hoping for to run in the 2:30-35 range and I barely eeked out a marathon PB, but it was early season and I shifted my focus to my upcoming main objectives of the USA 100K Champs, Badwater 135 and Spartathlon. (2/3)
Hard to describe it, but there’s something wondrous about catching the sunrise and moonset (full moon) in the same run. One of my favorite times of the month and a mighty fine way to start the day.
We’ve been taking turns getting the flu for the past two weeks, so sometimes you just do things and get that holiday family photo for Mama even though everyone has a fever and a storm is blowing in 🙃 Hope y’all are enjoying those miles and meals 🌱 this holiday season!
I’ll be at the @brooksrunning booth (#225) Wednesday 11/30, 5-6pm for a ‘Finding Your Voice’ media panel and happy hour. Stop on by! Looking forward to catching y’all at some point!
Been loving all the snow the past couple weeks! Kids are back in school 🙌🏼 so I got out with my running buddy before heading down to Austin for @therunningevent. Who else is going?
Good to have @HalKoerner in town. It’d been a minute or two, well make that a couple decades, since he last ran in the Boulder peaks. Having grown up in the Front Range he settled in fine. That was of course before we got a couple rounds of snow & January-like temps arrived🙃🥶😊
And we’ll be joined by Fitness+ trainer @iamJessicaskye to talk about our new Apple Fitness Plus program, Yoga for Every Runner.
Looking forward to it ⚡️Come join us and say hello! Event sign up link: https://t.co/Rj09a99czL
Tomorrow (Nov 5) I’ll be at Apple Fifth Avenue at 3pm with Jay Blahnik, for a conversation on all things running! I’ll be sharing training tips & advice on how to stay motivated & overcome mental hurdles to achieve your goals, no matter where you are on your running journey.
It’s LIVE today! Super psyched to release “Yoga for Every Runner” along with Apple Fitness Plus & @iamJessicaskye! Six 10-minute sessions that you can do anywhere on your iPhone, iPad or Apple TV. With two little kids and a busy life schedule, getting to a full yoga class..(1/2)
…(2/2) is hard to come by🙃 And if you find yoga intimidating, don’t worry, I’ll be right there with you, modifying poses as needed😉 I’m a constant work in progress, even after years of doing yoga. Train where you’re at, right now😊 Let me know what y’all think #CloseYourRings
so I am grateful for my friends who let us share in the duties at the farm; weeding & rock picking included😊 It’s nearing the end of harvest season here in Colorado and fun to reflect on all the intricacies of seasonal transformation. Gardening and growing is good for the soul!
Growing up in northern Minnesota, my family always had gardens. As much as I was less enthusiastic about weeding and rock picking, there were a lot of revelations gleaned by being connected to the land and growing seasons. I haven’t built our raised beds at home yet (tiny yard)..
