Real advocates inform and empower. They give you accurate information and let you decide, with no attachment to the outcome. Self-serving voices provoke. They spread shortsighted, ill-informed claims and demand answers that feed their egos. Choose your sources carefully.
Sometimes I think about my grandfather’s world:
He just did one job (farming).
He just served on one board (deacon/church).
He watched one source for news (Cronkite).
He ate the only kind of food that the grocer stocked.
He didn’t ‘follow’ any sports - just watched whatever Dallas Cowboys game was on after church (maybe the Oilers).
He didn’t know what was going down in Spain or China or even Washington D.C. - except for a few weeks every 4 years.
He loved one woman for one lifetime.
He raised three kids up into a faith that none of them left.
He knew a few Hank Williams songs - kinda.
He went to less than a dozen films in his lifetime.
He read one KJV Bible he kept by his bed stand.
He took one annual car trip over to Mississippi to visit family and for the Marine Corps reunion — that’s the only time he talked to his buddies.
He worked - he didn’t ’work-out.’
He bought some more land.
He drove old trucks - one at a time.
He liked vanilla ice cream and Mexican tacos.
That was it. That was his world and he seemed quite pleased with it. It never occurred to him to be anything but pleased.
He was hilarious and generous; his world was simple, but he thought it was full to the brim.
Alright - y'all asked for some officiating clips. Spent my lunch break clipping some plays I wrote down from Michigan vs Purdue regarding calls. These are MY OPINIONS only as an official. If you have more plays hit me with a timestamp and I can opine on them

@BoilerInTexas Exactly how I feel. Felt the same way since the end of last year & the team has done nothing to make me doubt them. I'm unbelievably proud of our guys & the way they've conducted themselves. #EverGratefulEverTrue
As the Purdue uniform account, I try to notice every memorial and memory on each uniform.
Now I want to help you.
If you want a name carried to Phoenix, reply, or DM me, and I’ll bring them with me to the games.
We’ve lost a lot of Boilers in 44 years, let’s bring them now.
This is a good summary of each fanbase and student section.
Remember when they made fun of Isaac Haas’ sister in the same manner?
Forever grateful for Purdue’s culture 🙏🏻
Minnesota shot 24 FTs at IU
Kansas shot 24 FTs at IU
Michigan shot 24 FTs vs IU
UConn shot 25 FTs. vs IU
Nebraska shot 26 FTs vs IU
Rutgers shot 28 FTs vs IU
Louisville shot 29 FTs vs IU
But Purdue's 27 FTs means they get a favorable whistle, not that IU just - you know - fouls
@notcharliejones It's gonna be Loyer. Hairflop is reminiscent of Haarms. Plus all he does is hit wide open shots. Anybody can do that... just like Edey is just tall.
Favor to ask: if you’ve been spending time lately inciting a certain someone prior to this particular game, please just stop. The kid doesn’t deserve this.
