🗣️ Immediate reaction from @JonRahmOfficial after @LegionXIIIgc defended their Andalucia team title
HENNI: I'm here with Legion XIII, who have successfully defended their title as team champions here. How does it feel, Jon, to get it done again in your home country?
RAHM: "Feels really good. Obviously this type of golf course suits us. Ball striking is all of our strengths, and on a golf course like this one, it was exactly what was demanded of you. Clearly we did well. Obviously I had a fantastic week myself, and very happy for Tyrrell to have just become a father just over two weeks ago and having his little girl and being a proud girl dad. As good as he is, if someone is going to beat me, there's very few people I'll be happy for, and he's one of them. It was very well earned and happy that he on and help the team as well. As far as I'm concerned, couldn't ask for much more"
HENNI: "Have you given any parenting advice to Tyrrell?"
RAHM: "No, I'm only there if he needs me. He's got plenty of people that are parents. It was pretty funny, he asked for advice on car seat the day he was leaving the hospital, which is something I thought he'd figured out by then. But so far he hasn't, but I did tell him any time he can call me because I've been there. I've been there at midnight when you don't know what to do and you need somebody to call. He's got friends and family. I don't know if I'll be the first one on his list"

LIV Golf Andalucia Final Thoughts:
1)With spectacular and historic Valderrama producing a Major Championship level test, brand new father Tyrrell Hatton held on to beat his close friend and teammate Jon Rahm to claim his 2nd LIV Golf Individual Championship!
2)Real Club Valderrama is truly the greatest golf course on the LIV Golf schedule, in my opinion slightly ahead of Sentosa in Singapore. It is one of the greatest courses in Europe and it really stood up to the test this week! Only 15 out of the 57 golfers finished under par on the week! The course isn't very long but requires great shot making abilities, with that being evident by which golfers rose to the top of the scoreboard! The leaderboard also looked like a Major type of leaderboard, and it was extremely pleasing to watch! What a course and what an event!
3)Hatton missed last week after the birth of his daughter, and I wasn't sure that he would make it to this event either. But wow did he ever show up!! What a week as he was under par every round! On 18, with the pressure of Rahm being close, Tyrrell made a nice recovery out to the trees and then hit an amazing flop shot to seal the deal! A deserved champion! Tyrrell has been so close at winning his first Major and maybe the time is coming soon?! I hope so!
4)It is evident and obvious how much this course and this tournament means to the Spanish golfers. 3 Spanish golfers finished in the Top 5, and young Luis Masaveu had a great tournament finishing in the Top 20! The only Spaniard that didn't play well was uber talented Josele Ballester, who had a horrible week. Maybe his power was too much for this shot maker course?
5)Rahmbo started off the week with a rough 73 in Round 1, but he was the best golfer on the course over the last 3 days, shooting 67-68-67 to get right back to the top. On Hole 15 of Round 4, Rahm hit a phenomenal tee shot that came within inches of an ace! The crowd pop was massive and it amazes me the kind of shots these guys can hit with that much pressure on the line! Once again, though, Rahm wasn't able to win at the course that he so desperately wants to win at! He has now finished 2nd here multiple times! He wants it bad!
6)Going into the final round, the 4Aces held a HUGE lead in the Team Competition, but they absolutely fell apart on Sunday with a team +11. Legion XIII was the only team in the field that shot under par as a team on Sunday and they came storming back to win once again on the LIV Golf league! After the Crushers set a new record with their 10th team win last week in Korea, Legion now won their 10th to tie back again for the all-time lead! This team has been a force from the beginning and seem to have great team chemistry. Even when Surratt are struggling individually, it is evident that they keep battling for the team!
7)It's hard not to feel gutted for Thomas Detry, who during this Major Championship season has had so many close calls on qualifying and has come up short in all of his chances. He's barely outside the OWGR cut-off, he lost a playoff during the US Open qualifying to miss out on a spot, and then going into the 4th round of this tournament he was in prime position to qualify for BOTH the US Open and The Open Championship via the LIV Golf exemption... but a really rough Sunday knocked him out of both of those spots. Joaquin Niemann now claimed the exemption for The Open after Detry dropped down. Even with this disappointment, Detry still rallied to finish 5th, and he has been a great addition to the league this year!
8)The love affair between Sergio Garcia and Valderrama is unbelievable. On the broadcast they mentioned that this is the 18th Top 10 in 19 career tournaments at this course, including 4 wins! And once again this week, Sergio was right there in contention and finished 4th! Sergio and Hatton were the only 2 golfers to be under par in all 4 rounds! At 46 years old, Sergio continues to impress and he's in 10th on the Season Long standings. His hard work and longevity are amazing!
9)The round of the week belonged to Dustin Johnson, who in Round 3 shot and unbelievable 7 under 64, which, as Mike McAllister pointed out, included a 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 on his scorecard! I'm sure that hasn't happened very often if golf history! DJ continued his much continued improved play, as did the rejuvenated Cam Smith, who both finished tied for 5th! Cam had one crazy tournament as he couldn't find the fairway and yet at times was leading the tournament at greens in regulation. From 150 yards and in, it is tough to find a better golfer in the world than Cam! As I've said before, the golf world is better with DJ and Cam playing well!
10)Well, LIV Golf is entering into a 7-week mid-season break that could be the most important 7 weeks in LIV Golf history. The entire future of the league is most likely to be determined during these 7 weeks, with investor meetings happening and future plans being laid out. Flushing It Golf has been laying out what he has been hearing as the future plans for the league, with 5 team majors and 5 signature events and reduced purses. He even mentioned that a lot more match play might be introduced, which would be awesome. One thing that might be a tough reality is that there is a chance that this was the last event here in Spain, at least for now. Flushing It reported that the the 5 "Team Majors" might be played in Australia, South Africa, Hong Kong, England, and Mexico (5 different continents), with the 5 "Signature Events" being played potentially in the USA built around the Major Championships. Not sure how I feel about it all, but I sure hope LIV Golf continues and that the best players in the league, especially Bryson and Rahm, stay in the league. Investors, in my opinion, have a great product here that has so much potential! Before LIV Golf tees it up at JCB in late July, there will have been 2 Major Championships played (Go LIV Golfers!!) and potential answers on if LIV Golf will continue or not.
Thank you all for reading! Hope to check in with you with good news over the next few months!

🗣️ Immediate reaction from LIV Golf Andalucia champion @TyrrellHatton
JERRY: "As Tyrrell gets congratulations from CEO Scott O'Neil. Tyrrell, how much of a battle was it out there today and this week?"
HATTON: "Yeah, I found today really stressful. I feel like I hit a lot of good iron shots that didn't end up on the green. Obviously you saw a lot of pretty angry reaction from myself, but I'm happy with how I just kept plugging away and in a sense kind of got my reward with how I finished. It feels surreal to win, let alone the kind of place as iconic as this"
JERRY: "Not only surreal, but also as a brand new parent and the responsibility that comes with that. Did it give you any brand new perspective as you competed?"
HATTON: "To be honest, I thought no matter how today went, I'm still going to be home tonight, and I'll walk in to a crying newborn, and I'll be doing nappies tonight. That was going to happen regardless. I'm really excited to get home to Emily and our little girl.
JERRY: Means more than anything else. Congratulations for this"
HATTON: "Thank you"

DJ's 7-under 64 scorecard at Valderrama consisted of six different numbers
1 (ace at 3rd hole)
2 (birdie at 6th hole)
3 (7 different holes)
4 (6 different holes)
5 (1 par, 1 bogey)
6 (1 bogey)
A game of inches 😅 Left a few out there and to come up short in the playoff is never fun, but overall there’s a lot of good from this week. Team was rolling strong and we can hopefully keep it going at Valderrama.
Congrats to @joaconiemann on the win today. Loved Korea, and the people here are awesome. Thank you for all the support this week. 👊🏼
🗣️Immediate reaction from LIV Golf Korea champion, @joaconiemann
JERRY: "Joaco, the sweet smell of victory that you're used to, now your eighth time doing it. You were very laid back and not looking nervous coming up this last hole in the playoff, joking with Diego Salinas, your caddie. What is it about you that lets you put yourself in that mindset when everybody else is nervous?"
NIEMANN: "I'm not going to lie, I was pretty nervous. I'm still a little bit -- I think my heart rate is a little bit up. So was shaky. I feel like it's just part of it. I just love this game. I love being in these moments. I go to 18 the first time and the second time and I was just thankful to be in that moment"
"I just feel like you've got to enjoy it. It's a great feeling to be here, hole that putt on 18, have my teammates, have my wife, everybody. Korea was nice"
"Just want to give a little message to everybody back in Chile, to los Cruzados who are going to a good tournament, so I wish them the best. And good morning to my family back home"
JERRY: "Did you save your best wedge shot of the week for when you needed it most?"
NIEMANN: "Yeah, it's funny. I had the same number, I had 135 on 14, and then I had the same number on 12, and I was in between hitting a pitching wedge and a 52, and I kept hitting the 52. I was missing it right, not making the best swing"
"Then we got to 18 on the 72nd hole, same number, and I was like, it's going to be a reason we're going to hit the wedge right now. Diego was like, just hit the 52 again. Hit a great shot pin high, but then on the playoff hole I was three yards forward, so it was a perfect gap wedge"
JERRY: "The winner's circle yet again. Congratulations"
NIEMANN: "Yeah, it feels nice"

🗣️ @brysondech: "One door closes, another opens. I think that's the way a lot of us are looking at it. I think we all have optimism that there is a business plan that makes sense for team golf. I'd quite honestly actually - how do I say it?"
"I'm very optimistic with the business plan of team golf compared to other models, in my opinion"
"But again, other models have worked, as well, so I'm not going to say that one is better than the other, but I do see value in what team golf can provide not only worldwide but also in grass rooting the game of golf. National support, team national support, city local support, we grass root ourselves there. There's a couple ideas that we have - quite a few ideas that we have that could be interesting."
"We'll see if investors like it or not. I'm giving all I can to make it happen"

🗣️ @brysondech: "Realizing how big this world actually is - yeah, golf in the States is massive and it's one of the most impressive markets in the world for sure, but realizing that there's others out there, as well, and that there's an underserved market was something that we saw and thought that it would be an amazing opportunity for us to grow the game globally, and that's what LIV has done"
"I think as I look at it now, what's really impacted me the most is the cultural barriers that get broken down, in a good way, with the game of golf. Everybody comes together. I think that's what's really special about LIV. I think that's what's really special about the game of golf"
"We'd be doing ourselves a disservice if we didn't continue to do that. I think there's value in the States. There's value outside of the States. There's a way to match both"

🗣️ @JonRahmOfficial on his 2026 PGA Championship performance
QUESTION: What do you take out of today, this round, and just your general reflections on how the day went.
RAHM: "I played really good golf. That's the only way to look at it. Just wish I'd have done better with the speed of the greens. Just couldn't seem to get it to the hole, and that's the reason why I didn't hole any more putts"
"Even though, even so, what Aaron did today, catching him could have been very difficult. I don't know if could happen, but I would have liked a better chance playing the last two holes. I feel like I was still close on that play 16 until he made that long putt"
"As far as I'm concerned, to be in the mix again and hit it as good as I did and perform as well as I did this weekend, it's been a great week. Four rounds and a par, even par, can't really ask too much more of myself. Just maybe obviously hole in a few more putts, which is not an easy task over here on these greens"
#PGAChamp | @LegionXIIIgc
🗣️Cam Smith reflects on his week at the PGA Championship
SMITH: "It was really solid. I mean, I got off to the start that I wanted to get off to. Hit a few kind of, I guess, wayward drives there on the back nine, but still had a few looks at birdie and just wasn't able to capitalize on the back nine. Yeah, a little bit frustrating with the putter today, but that's golf"
QUESTION: "Impressive performance after a few majors where you missed the cut. What changed for you, and how good does it feel to play like this?"
SMITH: "Yeah. I mean, it feels great to play nice. You don't work hard to play crap, and it's frustrating, and the last couple of years have been frustrating. I feel like I've been putting in the work and not really getting anything out of it"
"I made a swing coach switch a couple weeks ago now to Claude, and we've just managed to clean up a few things that were perhaps a little bit off, and I feel like I've got a lot more confidence in my swing"
"Even out there today, under the pressure I felt like I was able to trust it already. So lots of positive signs"
