In Forstrose the St Regulus graveyard is an intresting visit, know by locals as the "pirate's graveyard" although there is no evidence of pirates having been buried here, its close by the sea and a large number of gravestones have the skull and crossbone so you can easy see why.
Skara Brae was definetly one of the highlights from my recent trip there, for more information on things to see and do in Orkney follow the link https://t.co/o74NHRLUHk
Its hard to believe that im posting about the October holidays when the schools are not long back after the summer break, however the October Holidays are just round the corner and we still have avalbility for anyone looking for a last minute holiday.
The wonderful thing about touring in the motorhome is you never really know what you will stumble upon on your travels, like our recent visit to Castle Fraser, the grand 16th centaury castle was built from local granite with turrets, and decorative stone work did not disappoint.
It never fails to amaze me how beautiful Scotland's countryside is, the pictures are of Bluebell woods in Perthshire taken last night while we were out for a walk.
With the lovely spring weather, its hard not to think of our summer holiday, why have the stress of the airport and covid regulations when you can book your very own motorhome adventure and enjoy travelling around Scotland.
The cost and unpredictability of travelling
abroad with covid restrictions can be a
nightmare.
A holiday in Scotland takes the stress out of pre-departure covid tests and the ever
changing rules, we are lucky to have some of the most
amazing beaches right on our door step.
What will your 2022 holiday look like?
On our 2021 family holiday we enjoyed the sunset on the Applecross peninsula, canoeing round loch Morlich and possibly a favourite swimming in the fairy pools on the Isle of Skye.
It never fails to amaze me what you can find when you are out for a walk in Scotland - like these metal sculpture dotted along the boardwalk at Stonehaven harbour, the sculptor has remined anonymous and is known as Stonehaven's secret sculptor.
"We have just bought our first motorhome from Scottish tourer and Gordon and his family could not have been more helpful from start to finish excellent service exceptional knowledge and very very welcoming" - Part of a recent review from a lovely family that purchased a van.
