I see many Canadians cheering the floor crossings we are seeing from Conservative to Liberal here in Canada.
However even though this is allowed, I think we should be careful to celebrate when those elected in a representative democracy go against the wills of their own voters.
That is not how democracy works. Once the leaders stop listening to the people that resembles dictatorship more than democracy.
I understand that it might be cause for celebration since you think you’re on the winning side of it. But what about when the person you vote for decides to ignore you. How will you feel then?
