Apparently London Breed is mulling over jumping in the race for SF’s seat in Congress after Nancy Pelosi announced her retirement this week. This development could create an even more interesting (and complicated) field - especially if District 1 Supervisor Connie Chan (who is also considering a run) gets involved.

This morning on our walk to school, my daughter and I walked past a half dozen unhoused people suffering from mental crises.

I'm sorry for this cat. But it is absurd that Jackie is devoting energy to this accident given her responsibilities to her human constituents.

The data is clear: Waymos are safer for everyone. While there may be other reasons to cautiously embracing AVs, the safety of those on SF’s roads, streets, and sidewalks shouldn’t be one of them.

People are understandably upset that a Waymo killed a beloved bodega cat. But it’d be awesome to see people like Jackie Fielder talk about, let alone take the fentanyl, drug markets, and crime in her district as seriously as performing for the cameras.

I’m so sick of our electeds normalizing public drug use and then offering “thoughts and prayers” when someone gets shot asking a user to stop. In front of the library. Can we just take a step back for a second and acknowledge how absurd this entire situation is?

The kids and families of the Tenderloin deserve a neighborhood that is as safe, clean, and vibrant as any other part of SF. For too long, our elected officials have made empty campaign promises to those who call this neighborhood home.
