6/17/26 SCPPS LAUNCHES FINANCIAL REVIEW INFORMATION CENTER
The St. Charles Parish School Board has received EisnerAmper's final report and has submitted the report to the St. Charles Parish District Attorney and the Louisiana Legislative Auditor.
The EisnerAmper report found that the district's financial position was impacted by several related factors, including inaccurate or incomplete financial information, budgetary controls that did not support timely monitoring, and accounting practices that made it difficult to accurately assess the district's financial position throughout the year. The report did not identify any misappropriation of funds.
To provide the community with access to information related to this matter, the School Board has launched a dedicated Financial Review Information Center on the district's website at https://t.co/L2FDt9vyXA. The site includes the EisnerAmper report, a timeline of events, updates regarding implementation of recommendations, and frequently asked questions.
We are proud to share that our Athletic Department GPA for the 2025-2026 school year was a 3.49. This was a .02 increase from the previous school year! ๐๐ #studentathlete#acceptthechallenge

Strong support systems help students thrive.
The Louisiana Department of Education @doelouisiana recently partnered with St. Charles Parish Public Schools to highlight our high-dosage tutoring program and the impact personalized, in-person tutoring can have on student learning. This video features educators and tutors @ESE_Sharks and @SCPPS_NES who are helping students strengthen foundational skills, accelerate growth, and gain confidence in the classroom.
We are grateful for the opportunity to share our work and contribute to professional learning that will support educators and students across the state.

Understanding the Proposed MFP Funding Shift ๐ธ
Teachers and support staff deserve competitive compensation. A recently proposed plan by the Governor aims to fund temporary stipends by redirecting $168 million from the stateโs public schoolsโ operating fund, the Minimum Foundation Program (MFP). While the proposal is intended to support educators, it would do so by reducing the funding school systems receive to operate and serve students.
Hereโs how this shift at the state level would impact our school district. ๐
๐ Reduces Operational Funds Received from the State
This proposal would reduce operational funds allocated by the state to St. Charles Parish Public Schools through the MFP by 11%. Reduced funding could lead to cuts in programs, services, and resources that directly support our students and schools.
โ ๏ธ Restricts Use of Funds
Over the last five years, the St. Charles Parish School Board independently raised employee pay by more than 15%, bringing our teacher salary range to $63,000-$84,840 (based on highest degree earned and years of service). This investment has helped make our district one of the highest-paying school systems in Louisiana and highly competitive throughout the Southeast region, allowing us to attract and retain certified teachers. Because higher local salaries result in higher mandatory benefit costs, local funding would need to be reallocated to cover the additional benefits associated with this stipend.
๐ซ Excludes Key Staff
The stateโs stipend formula excludes many vital employees. Under the current plan, positions such as specialists, counselors, therapists, school nurses, principals, and assistant principals would not receive the stipend. When compensation increases are provided to one group while other employees are excluded, it creates inequity and division within an organization.
A one-size-fits-all mandate ignores local efforts and penalizes systems like ours that have already done what state leaders are encouraging all systems to do. Louisianaโs educators deserve meaningful compensation. Students deserve stable schools. We can and should accomplish both.
Let's work together to advocate for solutions that protect local progress and keep our district and state strong. ๐ช
We are proud to share that our Team GPA for the 2025-2026 school year was a 3.68. Twelve of our players made ALL As. ๐ช๐๐ #letsGEAUX#ROW#StudentAthlete
