Game of the Year 2025
#2 Ghost of Yotei - The gold standard of open world games complete with a great story and side quests.
#1 Expedition 33 - Fantastic characters and world building with a near perfect combat system. It was only a messy ending away from a perfect score
Game of the Year 2025
#4 Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter-The OG trilogy were the only Trails games I hadn't played. This remake is already in my top 3 forthe series
#3 Death Stranding 2 - Improves on the original in nearly every way even with it's more ridiculous moments
Game of the Year 2025
#6 Dispatch - A story driven superhero adventure game. The characters and story are fantastic. The dispatch shifts are addictive too
#5 Outer Worlds 2 - Plays much better than the OG. The story and combat shine even if the companions are lacking
Game of the Year 2025
#8 Doom: The Dark Ages - The shield bash is a great addition. The fantasy/sci fi mixture makes for a great combo
#7 MGS 3 Delta - This remake doesn't do much new but it brings the classic up to modern standards. It's too good to leave off the list
Game of the Year 2025
#10 Silent Hill F - 2nd great Silent Hill entry in as many years. It really amps up the psychological horror in this one with a great main character
#9 Mafia The Old Country - Very linear but tells a classic Mafioso story. The Sicily setting is gorgeous
Getting ready to post my top 10 games of 25 but first some HMs I didn't finish but were great.
Only played the 1st games in the Lunar and Suikoden remasters but worth it for old school RPG fans.
Cronos is a great survival horror. I just got stuck w low ammo and need to restart
Top 20 Horror of 2025
2. The Ugly Stepsister - Part folk horror part body horror. I absolutely loved it. I'd say it was the most unique film this year but
1. Weapons - A classic from start to finish. Filled to the brim with twists. Great blend of comedy and horror. Near perfect
Top 20 Horror of 2025
4. Sinners - This could've been higher because it's an excellent film that's a lot of fun. A couple of weird scenes are the only blemishes
3. Bring Her Back - This dark ride was exactly what I expected from the directors. Just bleak enough to not lose me
Top 20 Horror of 2025
6. The Long Walk - Brutal and unflinching but like a lot of Kings other world it has heart driving it forward.
5. Frankenstein - This is probably my favorite version of Frankenstein. The creature is great in his appearance and character arc.
Top 20 Horror of 2025
8. 28 Years Later - The opening 30 minutes is masterful. It didn't quite hit that high again but it was great throughout.
7. Frewaka - Cool folk horror film. I love the slow buildup and the lore that unfolds. Does some great things visually too.
Top 20 Horror of 2025
12. The Goat and Her Three Kids - I watched in 24 and am still waiting for a US release 🏴☠️. It's an awesome no frills folk horror film
11. Strange Harvest - Incredible mockumentary film about an occultist serial killer. Lower budget but effective
Top 20 Horror of 2025
10. Dead Talents Society - In a year where most of my top 20 were serious I needed this bit of levity. It's a lot of fun
9. Companion - I went in blind and didn't know at all where this was going. One of those early films that stayed on my list all year
