@McClellanOsc There are studies that suggest that 1000's of years ago, CO2 levels were much lower than today. The study uses prehistoric gas that was found trapped in arctic ice as the basis; with no thought to the potential dissolution of CO2 to carbonic acid in aqueous environments.

I have been trying to read the science about the connection between CO2 and warming. At this point i understand the thought to be CO2 has a different refraction of UV light than other gases and therefore its concentration in the atmosphere affects the amount of UV to hit the earth.
