@QuestionAbyss Because i want to wake up any day and just know or do something other people hold in high esteem, but I do not want to toil and sacrifice for years for perhaps a small chance at knowing or doing something people hold in high esteem (and even then maybe only after I am dead)
@QuestionAbyss Herbert Simon. Because we want to be special and want to be more than clever apes- we want to be temporarily inconvenienced eternal beings who will ascend into higher consciousness and control the universe. We are silly monkeys.
@Michaelfiore I'm not going to give anyone crap about it but this is kind of a bummer. Fewer pristine pumpkins, more rats. That was a very successful snake. I understand people not wanting to get bit, though.
@lyssasphere Another one of those results I do not understand. Type II errors happen. I may be as crazy as a shithouse rat. I don't think I am, but plenty of crazy people think they are not.
@number_pizza111@trangineer Maybe you should consider that presupposing an infinite value of an individual human over an entire collective of invertebrates is not supported by material reality. It is a disturbing fact of life. Try the last white rhinos instead.
