@Heccles94@maureen12485368 Joani Reed paid just 10% Capital Gains Tax on income of £379,953.46 in 2024/25 by putting her company into voluntary liquidation. This meant that she paid no income tax on that income. And luckily for Joani, she got the money out just before voting for an increase in CGT.
In May, I asked Anas Sarwar whether he’d take a seat in the House of Lords if he lost the election. His answer was no. He said he was focused on serving the people of Scotland.
He seems to have changed his tune.
