This week, Patricia Danzi, Director General of @SwissDevCoop, and I visited Idlib, Aleppo and Damascus in #Syria 🇸🇾. We met many people who, despite deep scars, remain committed to building a peaceful, united and inclusive future for all Syrians.
In Aleppo, @UN partners are turning debris into building blocks, restoring services and engaging youth. In Al Bab, entrepreneurs are rebuilding livelihoods. While much remains to be done, Switzerland 🇨🇭continues to support local and inclusive recovery.
🇱🇧 Together with @UNHCRLebanon, 🇨🇭@SwissDevCoop Director General Patricia Danzi visited displaced Lebanese families and Syrian refugees in Tyre. The visit highlighted the human impact of conflict and the importance of sustained humanitarian protection and support.

With the official opening of the cooperation office, Switzerland now brings additional cooperation instruments and expertise to support longer-term perspectives alongside #HumanitarianAid.
Switzerland’s response to the Syrian crisis in 2011 grew into one of its largest humanitarian operations. Today, Switzerland strengthens its engagement with new instruments to support the Syrian recovery and transition.
