On 7/5/26 just after midnight more than 100 SDFD personnel responded to a 3-alarm fire at an abandoned commercial building in Serra Mesa. Firefighters achieved knockdown at 5:05am. Crews remained on scene for the next several hours for mop up. No injuries or transports #SDFD

#SorrentoFire [Update]: The fire is now 60% contained. Multiple brush rigs and engine companies will remain in the area throughout the day to search for and extinguish any remaining hot spots and continue strengthening containment lines.
