The E20 protest baton was given to this piece of shit by people from BJP only who wanted to settle scores with Gadkari.
Such an important public issue cannot have someone like him leading the charge. Nope.
Know at least 3-4 dozen people in my circle who come from decent families in Gurgaon/Jaipur/Delhi and happily settled in Mumbai’s matchbox sized 2bhk(s).
Gurgaon is generations behind Mumbai. Anybody who sells you patriarchal, lawless, drainage free Gurgaon over Mumbai… well!

Airports maintain quality? Yaad hai wo taxi wale ka sar fata tha Delhi airport ke baahar?
Har mahine ek metro pillar girta hai alag alag city mein.
Government is spending tons, but contractors milking.
Himmat toh rakh le bhai sach bolne ki. Business association ke neta.
The poor infrastructure does not pain me that much as the quality of work being done. Government is spending tons to improve the infrastructure but few contractors are pocketing tax payers money. Everything falls apart. Footpaths are uneven and break within few weeks. All roads need repair within weeks. And then there are citizens who spit everywhere or paste posters. How do Metro and airports maintain the quality? Why can’t that be implemented in highways and cities?
A low rise society on Golf Course Extension Road with big corporate branding collects 15,000 rupees a month from every flat.
Multiply that across 200 units and you get 3.6 Cr a year, every year.
The residents have been asking for the audited accounts for two years. They have not seen one page.
The clubhouse they were sold is still under construction after three years. Power backup, water, lifts, the basics keep failing. A resident finally wrote it out in public this week. His line: don't make the mistake I did.
Read the replies and the same story shows up from other societies. Different builders, different sectors, one pattern.
The number everyone fixates on is the 15,000. The real issue sits one layer under it. A society that takes your money every month and will not open its books is telling you where the money is going. Somewhere it does not want you to see.
Maintenance is the last big pool of cash in Indian real estate that nobody audits. The flat is registered. The stamp duty is on record. But the monthly maintenance, multiplied across every flat in the tower, year after year, sits in an account most residents never get to inspect.
Builders and their management arms know exactly what that pool is worth. So they are in no hurry to hand it over. Handover gets delayed. The RWA never quite forms. The estate management company stays under builder control. Every month it drags, the money keeps flowing to them.
They have done the math on you too. A homebuyer will not fight for years. A case in India is slow, expensive, and draining, and most residents have an EMI, a job, a family, and no stomach for a five-year fight over maintenance. So the builder bets you will complain in a WhatsApp group and give up. Usually the bet pays.
Nobody withholds audited accounts for two years by accident. When a society hides its books that long, the hiding is the message.
This is why the trust between residents and the agencies running their societies is cracking across Gurugram right now. People paid premium prices, moved in, and found the same hand that sold them the dream now controls the money and answers to no one.
Something breaks here. Either residents organise hard enough to force real handovers and audited accounts, or the government finally writes law around how societies are handed over and managed. Until one of those happens, every new tower being sold today on the promise of a clubhouse is selling the same trap.
So buy where you can check. A new launch gives you a brochure. A render of a clubhouse and a promise you cannot verify, plus a maintenance account you will not see until you have already paid. A resale, ready to move society is the opposite. You can talk to the people who already live there. You can see whether the lifts run and whether anyone has ever seen the accounts. Before you sign, ask who controls the maintenance and ask for two years of audited statements. In a new launch nobody can answer that yet. In a ready to move society they can. If they won't, you have your answer.
Blinkit has a separate app called Bistro.
It delivers canteen-style food (snacks, meals, burgers, thalis, coffee, desserts etc.) in about 10 minutes.
Food is prepared fresh without preservatives or microwaves.
Currently available in selected areas of Gurugram, Delhi, Noida and Bengaluru.
Interesting move in the 10-minute food delivery space.

Why are parents making choices at all?
The single most important irreversible decision of one’s life and there is zero planning, preparation for making the right call.
Once the groom side enters into a wrong marriage their goose is cooked. They can’t get an easy divorce. They will have to endure a complete vendetta package which consists of dowry harassment, domestic violence, unnatural sex, unreasonable maintenance for donkey years before final settlement, unrealistic alimony demands, child custody, visitation rights etc etc. The mere thought will make people go mad. However some things are beyond comprehension. Why do parents insist on girls who are academically and professionally no match to their sons? In this case what was it that the bride’s side brought to the table? “Status”? Insane dowry? Or both? Why do parents think a daughter in law, full time at a home would automatically mean peace in the family? In increasing number of cases this is proving to be wrong. Very important, why are parents making such horrible choices disconnected from ground realities for their highly accomplished children who have seen so much of the world and moved amongst so many youngsters of their age?

Kothis and joint families of Sikhs are noticed because the proportion of Sikhs in small business is high by some margin.
If there's one community in India which has kept the concept of joint family alive and thriving - I believe it is the Sikh community.
This house opposite mine belongs to a Sikh family - 20 people living in one house since long - 2 brothers & their wives in their 70s (4 grandparents), their 4 sons (and their wives - all late 30s/early 40s), each of them having 2 kids (8 grandkids).
Each son is affluent & collectively they own 10 cars and plenty of property- each of them can afford to build their own house or move into a luxury apartment - yet, they all stay together in a 500 sq yard house.
One son is a top fashion designer of Jaipur, another one owns a tech startup, two holding the family business strong. Their daughter-in laws equally successful - one running her own school, another a school teacher in a prominent school while others running their own business.
I've always seen them celebrate all festivals, birthdays & anniversaries together. If someone is ill, everyone is collectively taking care of them. There's a single kitchen where they cook together. And as most Sikhs are, they are kind hearted and always helping others. I'm sure they have conflicts and disagreements but it's so heartening and rare to see such a large family live together.
Living in a joint family is a choice. They don't live together because they have to. They live together because they want to.
In a world where success is often measured by how big a house you can afford, how luxurious a car you can drive, or how independently you can live, there's something deeply beautiful about having everything you need to live separately - and still choosing to live together.
And it's not just them, most Sikh friends I have known seem to carry similar family values. They stay deeply connected to their parents and siblings, even when they have the means and independence to build completely separate lives.
My deepest respect and a salute to the Sikh community for keeping these values alive. 🙏
