A once-in-a-generation opportunity to reimagine the heart of our city: We've partnered with the @prebysfound to release the San Diego Civic Center Revitalization Economic Impact Study, highlighting the economic and civic benefits of reinvesting in this critical area of Downtown San Diego.
For far too long, San Diego’s Civic Center has not lived up to its potential as a dynamic public space. It should be a place San Diegans are proud of — a vibrant and thriving Downtown that showcases why we are America’s Finest City. This report, developed by our partners at @U3Advisors shows what we've long believed: every investment we make in this crucial district strengthens Downtown today and benefits the entire region for years to come.

Last week, the Downtown San Diego Partnership proudly dedicated a Jacaranda tree in honor of Neil Mohr and his decades of leadership, environmental stewardship, and service to the San Diego community. Surrounded by friends, family, colleagues, and community stakeholders, Neil was recognized for his remarkable career with Republic Services and his contributions as a valued board member and community leader alongside the Downtown San Diego Partnership.
The Jacaranda tree symbolizes resilience, growth, and lasting impact — qualities that reflect Neil’s enduring commitment to serving others and helping shape a stronger Downtown San Diego.
Thank you, Neil, for your leadership, dedication, and meaningful contributions to our community. Congratulations on your retirement and this well-deserved recognition!
Meaningful progress starts with a conversation.
Through a multi-day outreach effort in East Village, our team partnered with PAVE, Arcadia, Alvarado Parkway Institute, Crisis House, and the San Diego Housing Commission to meet people where they are. Together, we provided essential supplies, shared access to services, and distributed hygiene and first aid kits, while connecting one-on-one with our unhoused neighbors to understand their immediate needs and offer support.
Through these conversations, we helped 34 individuals access shelter, reinforcing the impact of thoughtful, people-centered outreach.

Get ready, San Diego. This is HUGE. 🐘✨
On March 26 at 8 PM, the skyline over San Diego Bay will come alive with a one-of-a-kind drone show celebrating the debut of Elephant Valley at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park! This massive 3D kinetic drone show will transform the sky into a larger-than-life tribute to the Elephant Valley experience, featuring bold brand messaging, elephant interaction and water play, and engagement with QR code integration.
As David Miller, Chief Marketing Officer of the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, puts it:
“Our Elephant Valley campaign conceived by The Shipyard captures a simple truth: the only way to truly understand the size and majesty of elephants is to experience them in person. When guests see them up close, our message ‘This Is Huge’ becomes unforgettable.”

Attention Downtown! 🚧
Through the month of February, several communities will soon have improved street conditions due to the continued efforts of the @City of San Diego's Transportation Department's slurry seal program, a preservation project to slow street deterioration and improve the overall condition of San Diego's road network.
Seven slurry seal projects are scheduled to be completed within this current fiscal year, which ends June 30, 2026. Through the first three weeks of the project, the following roads will be resurfaced in Downtown.
