Northampton, Bordeaux, Leinster, Bulls - measured against the best, this @scarlets_rugby team is tantalisingly close. Huge team effort again yesterday. With more certainty going into next season, we will turn these close matches into the wins this team deserves ๐ โค๏ธ ๐น๐ท
Superb analysis. Very difficult to disagree with such a well researched and put together piece. Couldnโt agree more. Welsh rugby has and is being mismanaged and itโs time the remaining @WelshRugbyUnion leadership fell on their swords.
Probably the best analysis of the Welsh Rugby Unionโs leadership that I have seen. Anyone that cares about Welsh rugby should watch it . Chapeau to Squidge Rugby !

@BBCScrumV@laurenemmaj@EllisJenkins_@acuthbert11@scottbaldwin2 There were great reports coming out of the camp before the England match about confidence and team spirit which sadly didnโt translate to performance, what will the coaches be doing this week to rebuild confidence? How do the players go about picking themselves up?
@TelegraphRugby@brianmoore666 The data driving the decisions isnโt public, so when Welsh fans arenโt articulating a vision, itโs because they dont have the information to effectively scrutinise. This leadership told us 4 clubs was the correct solution, then 2, then 3. That in turn undermined all confidence.
@WalesRugby Itโs all so unfair! Suggestions:
1. We use rugby performance during the regional era as a key metric when assessing whether to keep clubs.
2. The governing body is fair, transparent and acts independently, avoiding any conflicts of interest.
What am I missing?
@WalesRugby@Steffan_Thomas1 Another considered & thoughtful piece.
It would be far easier to understand if their strategy was keeping the most successful clubs, as itโs not, they have to share their data & explain the rationale.
Time & again the change management approach has alienated those they serve.
@BBCScrumV@laurenemmaj@ShaneWilliams11@JonFoxDavies Looking at @WalesRugby suggested 15 for the first 6 nations match, we look a potent attacking threat in the backs and have some good strength and experience up front. Am I kidding myself to have briefly considered we might cause an upset in Twickenham?!
@AsaFoodAndWine@WelshRugbyUnion There is nothing happy about seeing fans, players & staff treated this way. We may be rivals, but we have hearts and we all want Welsh rugby to succeed โฆ
@VagueRegions@ospreys@Cardiff_Rugby@WelshRugbyUnion Any PE house deploys its capital for the greatest return on investment.
The governing body oversees to ensure decisions are strategic, long term, and for the good of the game.
WRU saved the capital club.
They now only want 3 teams.
They have fostered this situation.
Swansea was bigger and richer when Cardiff was named capital. The @Ospreys have been more successful than @Cardiff_Rugby in the pro era. Trophies, players, standards set. Yet decisions still favour the place closer to London. Funny how that happens, isnโt it?

@VagueRegions@ospreys@Cardiff_Rugby Can you see a moral issue around the @WelshRugbyUnion, the custodian of the game for the whole of Wales, saving one club from administration โฆ and sacrificing another?
Also, how one arbitrary decision on where to locate a โcapitalโ has led to so many others affecting the West.
@TomShanklin Hold them to account @TomShanklin! Letโs see them answer your questions on @BBCScrumV. The questioning yesterday was too high level. We need detailed explanations to precise questions.
@BBCSportWales Thoughts are with Mark Jones and everyone working with and supporting @ospreys. What a horrendous time. So much rugby passion and heritage. So many talented people being treated poorly. ๐น๐ท ๐ฆ ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ
