Pelican Harbor Seabird Station swooped in to rescue the heron, and its experts are now working to rehabilitate it. Thanks to a fast-acting citizen who called our Wildlife Alert Hotline, our officer's investigative work, and the dedication of @SeabirdStation, this great white heron is receiving the best care available.

A Laughing Gull was admitted for general weakness after being found unable to fly. Arriving wet and weary, it spent some time warming up in the incubator and is now receiving supportive care to regain strength 💪
This week alone, we received 3 birds that were shot with BB guns. This is not only cruel but also illegal under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act. We work closely with @MyFWC to help them investigate these cases.
