@JacobHarrisSBI Where you gonna go?
SEC/B1G don’t care about one big donor. That doesn’t drive value and your recruiting won’t mean automatic wins there. TV ratings matter and Tech is a regional brand
Also, try to pull what you just did with Sorsby and they’re not going to have it either
@TTU_86@jdpickell Either way it’s irrelevant. You made the point it’s no different than players taking money and then drinking. You’re wrong. Gambling opens up risk that the player intentionally goes against their team to influence the outcome of games for their own benefit.
@TTU_86@jdpickell Dude…. He used friends and family to place bets. Your saying the investigation successfully uncovered every single conversation (even the ones in person with no digital record) he had with those ppl and that we know every single bet ever made. Use some common sense….
@TTU_86@jdpickell You’re assuming we know all the facts. Points are:
1. This very different than drinking or doing drugs. Those players are still incentivized to play well
2. it’s a slippery slope. He can turn on his team any time or it could be perceived as such. Nebraska last year for example
@TTU_86@jdpickell Very different.
What if he got starters involved and they tanked? What if he’s still doing it? What if he got in a hole and does something drastic like injures a teammate.
The issue is misaligned incentives. He’s incentivized to do things that players like Johnny wouldn’t be.
@jekavanagh@HunterStires Closure was always an option in response to any adversarial action. Thus, in theory, it was never truly open nor a problem caused by the US; the cause is the Iranian power apparatus.
Following your logic through, Iran should be allowed to do whatever it wants no matter the cost
@CUBarstool@isaiahj___ The whole wish them luck regardless is over. These aren’t “I’m going because I need to bet on myself” use cases anymore.
These kids are mercenaries leaving for money. Loyalty and fond memories die with their end of service. Seat, Colton, Isaiah… meaningless. Zero legacy.
@adamcm777 Most optimistic about Marion.
Pessimistic about the constant turn over. I understand some of the players were misses last year and some of the coaches needed to go but I just don’t feel like we’ve had the right level of continuity on either front the entire Prime era.
