We finished Term 1 on a high by donating some of the 15 blankets our community has made to those in need in the local parishes of St Oswalds & St Thomas’s as well as for Ashton Bears group for the elderly! We also donated £500 to the fabulous Ashton Pantry Cafe! 🎄✝️ @SEACHS1961

It was lovely to see former student, Morgan Brooks return for a visit after completing his first term at Harrow School in London. He is really enjoying the experience and his studies. We wish him continued success and hope to see him again soon. 😀

CHARITY UPDATE: Last year we raised £1520.13 with the various charity events and there's no better time than around the festive period to donate this. Therefore, £400 to AllEars Mental Health Awareness, £100 to the CAFOD Christmas Stocking appeal;
Our Y11 students visited @StJohnRigby yesterday to take part in the Cafod Carol Concert rehearsal and event. We were absolutely delighted that some of our ex-students joined them, which was a lovely catch-up! 🎄✝️⛪️🤶🎅
Y10 & Y11 had talks today from @AnimateYouth‘s Ellie & Fr Simon on Coach 9 Liverpool to Lourdes Youth Pilgrimage. 53 students are now considering joining the annual pilgrimage which is absolutely amazing! They were truly inspired.
The donations for the Jamaica AID Appeal were delivered. "Thank You - may God Bless you all". Your school family did an amazing job and I'm sure the people of Jamaica will benefit greatly from this Love in Action. Please continue to Pray for Jamaica. 🇯🇲❤️

4 Y9 chaplaincy pupils have been to @AnimateYouth today to take part in a Servant Leadership Retreat. The pupils reflected on their leadership can be broken down into three important areas; stewardship, discipleship and fellowship. What a wonderful prayer-filled day! @SEACHS1961

Two of our fantastic Chaplaincy pupils represented @SEACHS1961 this afternoon by attending the opening of @Ashtonpantry “Pay as you Feel” cafe that was opened by @AndyBurnhamGM what a wonderful afternoon being served tea and cake by the Mayor of Greater Manchester himself!
Can you knit or crochet & spare an hour to knit/crochet a 9" (23cm) sq (or 2)? Any stitch in an Aran weight yarn. Staff & students are making blankets to give as gifts to people who will be alone this year in our parishes. We would be so grateful for your time. 🧶🧶
