@dakvid No, I didn't go down that rabbit hole. I looked at the formulas + Java code in the thread, and then wrote my own implementation, which projects pixel-by-pixel. It's not a viable script for public use, so I'm hoping the people in the thread come up with a proper update to PROJ.
