@LoverNotArguer@ElijahEv8 So then wait and buy pitching in FA. We're not winning the WS this year. Getting the pitching they'd need to do that would gut the roster and the farm. Bottom line is the only thing we know for certain with this deal is we have $15M less to spend next year. And Jerry still sucks.
@n0t_pop@whitesox How many times do Sox fans have to forget that Jerry doesn't spend money like a riverboat gambler? Added like $15M to next year's payroll for a washed inning-eater and gave up a prospect at a position that's sucked for us all year. It's riskier than people are admitting.
@GeorgeOnTap There needs to be Freddie Freeman cap before there's a salary cap. No team should be allowed to have TWO Freddy Freemans! Stop the insanity!
@mhyland18@Sam_Phalen This team last traded for an innings-eating, 5+ ERA vet in '16 & it turned into one of the worst MLB trades ever. Tatis wasn't a top 5 guy either but that didn't make it ok.
This is a significant overpay. Teel's health makes it scarier than it should be. Hope it works.
@nbb77@tman1328@DavidHaugh It doesn't, but the upgrades that would will cost guys we shouldn't move so it is what it is. Buy pitching in the off-season. Don't sell the whole farm when we're ahead of schedule
@youngwilson30@NFLonCBS Cuz Joe Burrow is WAY better at having Chase & Higgins on his team. Like, it's legit pathetic LJax never learned this one simple trick. It's year 9 bro just grow a WR duo like that in the basement & make them play for free! Being 1st team all-pro 2x w/o that is obv pure luck...
@Michael26897152@TheFlockOpinion Yeah, but it's not like it was 50/50 between him and the players. IMO John overall was more detrimental to their success than the players were. Granted that's partially because he was kept around so long so he has a larger sample size of buffoonery.
@Michael26897152@TheFlockOpinion John literally choked away two 14-pt leads in the same playoff game because he didn't know the rule book. He's not responsible for boneheaded fumbles but there's plenty of playoff failure blood on his hands.
