USF offensive line is getting push in the rushing game that they haven't in the past few games.
Tim Beck scripted drives vs unscripted drives are always something to watch.
@USF_GreenNgold The question was always about this offense. On my summer school episode, I voiced the same concerns about the offensive scheme. They need to adjust.
They still look like 11 offensive players that haven't played together and they need to get that fixed because its nearly game 5.
The football team is obviously not as good as we had hoped, especially given the amount of financial support, but calling Hartline a 'whiff' and calling out Rob Higgins for hiring him is ridiculous. They have growing pains and its on Hartline to fix them.
We have high expectations right now and for good reason, but I still think Hartline is a good coach especially because he realizes that there is a problem, coaches in the past haven't realized that. The offense needs to be fixed and Tim Beck was never an inspiring hire, but that doesnt mean it can't be fixed.
@tlrichard21 I think most people thought he was a good hire. But the jury is still out. The knock on him was first time head coach and because of that an uninspiring OC hire. Now its his job to make it work or change it.
@OzarkBull@viktor_roamin@USFSTAN Only so much you can change from week to week with a struggling OL. They've been trying some different stuff scheme wise but you can't completely change the offense in a week. There's a reason they make the big bucks and I dont.
That is still be the goal. That doesnt mean if it doesnt work in year 1 that its a failed hire. Just like last season, if they dont win the conference its a disappointment, that doesnt mean theyre not a good coach. I mean he landed at freakin Auburn. I know we all thought last year was not the goal.
@USFSTAN I completely understand it and the emotion is warranted because they just aren't good enough. The pressure is on Hartline to fix it and find something that works.
Going into this season, I thought that 8 wins was realistic and an attainable goal especially given the schedule. despite not looking great, that's still a possibility. Not the goal, but this is still year 1 with an entirely new roster and there's obviously growing pains. My questions were always about this offensive style and whether it works in Florida. They need to adjust this offense to put less stress on the offensive line thats struggling and revamped every game and put the ball in the playmakers hands. Gotta stop with the inside zone runs and the drop back passing. The offensive line can't handle it.

I'm not sure how many games we'll win this year but this brand of football isn't fun to watch. It is very obvious it's a group of players that have no synergy offensively and it always looks hard. They paid for some talent which helps the dropoff, but they are not playing well together at all. My expectations for this season weren't that high, but I don't know if they meet them if this is the offense we see the rest of the season.
Ashley Moody introduces her amendment to increase the conference cap from 19 to 20 teams. She references 4-0 USF and 4-0 Miami, as well as Florida State, as schools that might benefit.
Offense needs to stop trying to drop back and pass because the revamped offensive line with Wooten out is really struggling in pass pro. Running the football is working at times, but gotta move the pocket and play some RPO. Need more extensions of the running game with screens and more outside zone runs that have been working.
