So, why does @TEDTalks and @TEDx choose to platform someone who is a known liar and fraud as a person others should listen to or look up to? Furthermore, why are they refusing all the countless requests and demands to take down #LauraMichelleOwens' slanderous TEDx talk about victim Mike Marraccini? The organizer of Laura's TEDx talk, Mercer Island High School, no longer wishes to be associated with Laura and has formally requested that TED/TEDx remove her talk. They have contacted @YouTube and the parent organizer for Laura's TEDx talk, Claes-Fredik (Fred) Mannby @mannby, with the same requests, but they have been ignored.

Here, @12News @SeanRiceTV reports on this story and interviews journalist @MeganFoxWriter to ask these important questions. A family court found Laura Owens faked a pregnancy, repeatedly lied under oath, and doctored medical records. She is currently awaiting her criminal trial in Maricopa County, after being indicted on 14 felony counts of fraudulent schemes, perjury, evidence tampering, and identity theft. Phoenix Arizona Police Department police-cam footage catches a conversation indicating they have DUI quotas

They even talk about framing Americans with DUIs to meet their quotas

Officer conversation “They're gonna kick me off squad if I don't get a DUI, but I'm like, I can't just conjure one up. I have tried.”

Then there is footage of a woman who passed breathalyzer with all zeros, she passed field sobriety tests, camera footage catches the officer saying they don’t believe she’s under the influence, and then they arrest her for a DUI anyway

The woman was pulled over for running a red light, the footage shows it was green

Arizona police are pulling over law abiding Americans and charging them with DUIs to meet their quotas

U.S. Attorney Tim Courchaine sat down with @12News Phoenix to discuss the recent guilty plea made by a kitchen hiring manager, Diego Gonzalez Rosales, 37, a Mexican nationally illegally residing in the United States. In his plea, the defendant admitted to sharing photos of a U.S. citizen's identification cards with an illegal alien to use when filling out the Form I-9 to gain employment at a Zipps Sports Grill in Arizona.

The plea comes after Special Agents with Homeland Security Investigations executed federal search warrants at 14 Zipps restaurants in the Phoenix area in January following a year-long investigation into alleged unlawful employment of aliens, identity theft, and document fraud.

Last week, U.S. Attorney Tim Courchaine sat down with @12News' Sean Rice to discuss the federal investigation that led to the closure of the Royal Inn motel in Phoenix, a hub for prostitution and drug crimes, making an immediate impact on the safety of residents and businesses in the area.

Royal Inn owner Varsha Patel was sentenced to 5 years of probation and was ordered to forfeit the Royal Inn motel and $744,000. @FBIPhoenix, @PhoenixPolice, and @USAO_AZ, Phoenix, teamed up to investigate and prosecute the case. @USMarshalsHQ Phoenix shuttered the motel.

NEW: A north Phoenix neighbor shared with me surveillance footage of a plane crash this morning. The FAA says a Piper PA-28 plane went down at 7:20 AM this morning near Deer Valley and Cave Creek Rds. Both people on board survived. Major damage to two homes. @12News

NEW: A source tells me the people in suits outside of Nancy Guthrie's home Wednesday morning were prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Arizona. I'm told they were doing "standard legal advising to the FBI." More below and @12News

NEW: I've confirmed that the man recently detained and questioned in connection to the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping case is 37-year-old Luke Daley. His criminal defense attorney in multiple Pima County cases, Chris Scileppi, issued @12News the statement below denying any involvement.

@BBBrad91 I have little doubt that investigators now have his DNA profile after serving the search warrant last Friday. You’ll hear in that Nanos clip that the “person of interest” consented to fingerprinting, buccal swabbing, etc.

That case is still pending and he hasn't been convicted. He's been continued on probation despite the new charge. Important to note that Daley's DNA would be in CODIS because is a convicted felon.

Daley has served a year and half in Arizona DOC in 2019-2020. He was convicted of drug distribution charges in 2022 and was sentenced to four years on probation by a Pima County Judge. He was arrested again in early 2025 by Marana PD in possession of fentanyl and a gun.
