In the 2026 Commonwealth Games, India secured a notable medal tally across various states, led overwhelmingly by Haryana with 11 medals, including 7 out of the nation's 13 gold victories. Manipur followed with 4 medals, Tamil Nadu with 3, and Bihar, Delhi, Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand contributing 2 medals each. Tripura, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka each added 1 medal to the overall count, while Gujarat recorded 0 medals. Interestingly, despite Gujarat's lack of medal contributions in this edition, the state has been selected to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games—a decision that brings into focus the principle of Raj Dharma (duty of governance), highlighting the need to balance the allocation of major hosting honors with fair support and recognition for the states that actively generate the country's top athletic talent.

After claiming Bihar's Assembly polls were "rigged" despite admitting he had no evidence, Prashant Kishor has scripted a comeback by defeating the BJP in Bankipur.
Months after Jan Suraaj failed to win a single seat in the Assembly elections, Kishor appears to have swapped post-defeat allegations for booth-level organisation and issue-based campaigning.
Bankipur suggests elections are won on the strength of local issues and groundwork; not excuses after the results.

In Bankipur, Bihar which was earlier held by Nithin Nabin PK has won. In Datia, MP Congress has won. NaMo has to streamline the party mechanism and whip up its sleeping legal wing. Is it a warning sigal to saffron party ? Voters mindset is unpredictable.
