Wow...so much to unpack here
1) the last jurist used her first name
First-name familiarity is how a panel stops seeing three dead children as the center of the case and starts seeing a sick woman they need to protect from a conviction.
2)They treated the nurses and teachers on the jury as the interpreters of the evidence.
Those women were not expert witnesses. Nobody cross-examined them. The judge didn’t qualify them. The state and the defense put doctors and lab evidence in the record for a reason.
Once deliberations start, “trust the nurses at the table” is just eleven people substituting their own medical opinion for the contested expert testimony.
The holdout’s job was not to defer to the other jurors’ professions. It was to decide whether the trial evidence proved she lacked criminal responsibility.
Personally for me...
It’s the excitement. A woman killed three small children, one of them a baby, and the foreperson is describing the moment she thought they were about to let her walk on insanity as something she was excited to sign.
Sick women
The first female juror was telling the interviewer that the male stand out juror wouldn’t listen to the nurses on the jury describe what the medications are and what they do. The nurses description is not to be considered. It’s not evidence.
The female jurors on the Lindsay Clancy case are insufferable. I have even more respect for the brave juror who refused to let these morons berate him into changing his opinion. God bless him.
@JackPosobiec Tells me something very important... None of those women deserve to be teachers or nurses. Empathy is required to excel in those positions. They should all be fired immediately. I don't want people who support a kid butcher in those positions... .Do you??
"Multiple nurses on the jury" of twelve people. Man.
There is something of a major bombshell in that interview that the Karen jurors were too stupid to understand while they were bragging about themselves and trashing the holdout.
One of the jurors admits that multiple nurses on the jury used their experience and medical background to “explain” toxicology reports to the holdout juror.
I showed that clip to a trial attorney who immediately saw it as an admission that the pro-Clancy jurors were using outside information and evidence from outside the trial process to bully a juror toward a particular outcome.
It went down EXACTLY how the AI memes showed it.
Even worse some “nurses on the jury explained, she had no control”,
I love the fucking “expert worship”. The Happy serfs all display like the same nurses and doctors were saying they should be able to refuse life saving care to unvaxxed people
Female jurors in the Lindsay Clancy trial rip the lone male holdout juror who refused to side with them.
"He would not interact with us... He had the hardest time getting off the fact that Lindsay viciously killed her children."
Patriot.
@bar9cattle Actually the judge should have declared a mistrial based on the nurses on the jury adding their own unvetted expert testimony to the jury room in an effort to achieve their desired result. They should not have been explaining any of the medications to anyone in there.
@HabCorpLinguist Pretty sure that’s a big no, unless they are couching this as common lay-person experience but in the context of being nurses. However, at that point it’s no longer “expertise.” Seems like a real legal conundrum right there.
@JackPosobiec He’s not supposed to take what you nurses said. He’s supposed to make a decision on the facts that were laid out before him by both the prosecution and the defense. God bless him for standing against a jury of liberal witches.
Whoever allowed multiple nurses on a jury for the trial of a nurse who k***** her kids should be fired/removed. The case was tainted from the start.
@ellewilson @BarExamTutor And no offense to present company, but women are generally followers and so I absolutely see the women simply following the nurses blindly.
@TrustScore_1 Wrong career choice. Everyone wanted easy AC desk job.. plenty of jobs on factory floor or in healthcare as nurses.
@KMariewyyn @MyHomieCliff @chrispatrick @JackPosobiec The judge asked him about this and found him to be OK.
The nurses weren’t supposed to render their own professional opinions.
@lucentile @MeganFoxWriter What one could do is say “I found the expert on the car lacking credibility because he/she errantly claimed XYZ, which is critical to the testimony being valid”. Who knows what the nurses actually said though.
@seanmdav I have noticed a pattern of nurses not being very healthy or stable. They tend to self diagnose and self medicate. I wonder what percentage of nurses are on SSRIs compared with the general public? I’ll bet they were lecturing and berating the holdout juror to the point he dug in.
@EricLDaugh If its retried, prosecution need to up their jury selection game. The comment that got to me, “there were nurses on the jury” that’s irrelevant. Jurors need to decide on what was presented in court and not jurors claim an expertise and applying their own professional judgement
@CaliRN619 Wow! Excellent!! It would be wise for the prosecution to call up a nurse for expert testimony for the re-trial. But, not like the idiot nurses that were on the first jury.
@MattWalshBlog They also admitted that there multiple nurses on the jury who were using their own professional opinion to make judgment and try to influence the opinion of the holdout juror.
