i’m thinking a lot about the clean air in the clubs conversation and i cannot help but come at it from a nightlife worker’s perspective. yes these places center pleasure but they also employ vulnerable ppl. they employ the marginalized. and we deserve to be safe at work.

If a dancer was more than 3 minutes late to her shift at the club, we’d get fined hundreds of dollars. Starting fine was $125 and it went up from there. You could be late to a slow shift and leave with a balance in the negatives still owing the house for next time.
