@MVLouiseMichel Had Seabird 3 not been overhead, they would likely never have been found. Europe funds, trains, and equips this force. When it fires on rescuers and drags people back into violence, it isn't a rogue actor. It's Europe's mercenary at the border, doing exactly what it's paid to do.

🔴 Shots fired & people in the water. The so-called Libyan coastguard, backed by the EU, opened fire toward NGO ship Louise Michel - instead of recovering the two people who had gone overboard.

@MVLouiseMichel Instead of recovering them, the so-called Libyan coastguard turned toward Louise Michel and fired two shots. Their crew is safe, but the two who went overboard were left in the water at dusk, almost drowning. Only later were they, and everyone in distress, taken back to Libya.
