APC must have realized that three years of President Tinubu's rule has swallowed whatever mess they once blamed on PDP's 16-year reign.

They came into power with too much politics and too little knowledge of administration.

Now look at where we are.

At this point in time, President Tinubu looks like an inexperienced driver behind the wheel of a broken vehicle, still searching for the right road while the passengers continue to endure the journey.

The sad part is that Nigerians are the ones paying the price for every wrong turn, and there is still no clear sign that this nation is being driven out of the mess it has been plunged into.

The Economy of Sex in Nigeria

Nigerians love sex. Sex is our national indulgence, the one appetite poverty never killed. If anything, poverty feeds it.

Down on the street, sex is cheap. But climb the ladder, and the price flips. Up top, sex stops being cheap and becomes very expensive. It is expensive because reputation is involved, and reputation in Nigeria is gold.

A senator's reputation. A general overseer's reputation. A managing director's reputation. These men are not paying for pleasure alone. They are paying for something more valuable: silence.

Welcome to the clito-economy. It runs on discretion, and discretion is the most expensive commodity in this country.

The real business is secrecy.

High-class prostitution in Nigeria is a discretion trade. The oga does not want his nude moving from a bed to his wife's WhatsApp group. The pastor does not want a headline titled "Man of God spotted at Lovina Hotel with mystery woman." What they are buying, above everything, is a guarantee that the night ends in that room and nowhere else.

This is why a prostitute with the strongest reputation for keeping her mouth shut charges more than the one who posts encounters on social media. The arrangement cuts both ways, too. Mutual exposure keeps everybody honest. Clergies are not spectators in this economy. Some are among its most faithful customers, because their fall is steeper than anyone else's. A man who prophesies on Sunday cannot survive Monday's gossip.

A married celebrity cannot afford private chats appearing on Twitter. An Imam, traditional ruler, CEO, politician, billionaire, senior government official, or respected family man may have far more to lose from exposure than from the cost of the encounter itself.

So the premium escort is not merely selling sex. She is selling confidentiality. And confidentiality is expensive. That is why, in clito-economy, the bigger the client, the more valuable a prostitute capable of keeping quiet. Everybody protects everybody because everyone's survival depends on everyone keeping quiet. It is almost a cartel of silence.

Nigeria's Clito-economy is far more diverse than our hypocritical public morality allows us to admit. There is another interesting phenomenon.

Why do big boys always seem to know big girls?

The high-class escort in Nigeria often functions less like a lover and more like a banker who happens to be beautiful. She launders money. She moves drugs. She fronts as a respectable businesswoman while running errands for men who cannot be seen doing their own dirty work.

An escort who moves comfortably around politicians, businessmen, celebrities, fraudsters, diplomats, oil dealers, and other wealthy clients may become useful for purposes that have nothing to do with sex. She becomes a connector, a courier, confidante, fixer, and a social bridge.

And in criminal networks, this kind of proximity is vital. This is where the Clito-economy overlaps with darker economies. Money laundering, fraud, drug trafficking, influence peddling, and asset concealment. A business with conveniently vague cash flow can potentially provide cover for money that needs an explanation.
Suddenly somebody who yesterday was described merely as somebody's "girlfriend" becomes Managing Director of three companies.

Look closely at the boutiques, the spas, the restaurants that open in Ikoyi or Banana Island with no clear capital source and no real customer base to justify the rent. Some of these places are not businesses at all. They are washing machines. Dirty money from a senator, a drug baron, or a fraud boy goes in, and it comes out looking like turnover from a fashion line or a wellness spa.

Look around. The politician knows the influencer. The dealer knows the actress. The fraudster knows the socialite. The nightclub owner knows everybody. The big boy dates the big girl. Everybody somehow lives inside the same tiny ecosystem. It is often presented publicly as romance.

"My king." "My queen." "The love of my life."

But sometimes what looks like a love story is essentially a commercial alliance. The man provides money, access, accommodation, vehicles, travel, and social status.

The woman provides companionship, beauty, access to her own network, social legitimacy, discretion, and sometimes other services.

Both parties understand the assignment. Some of these women also move product, quietly. A well-dressed woman checking into a five-star hotel with designer luggage does not attract the same suspicion as a girl on an okada. She has access on both ends, to the men who supply and the men who consume, and that access is worth serious money to whoever controls the pipeline.

Nigeria does not have a prostitution problem. Nigeria has a trust problem, and prostitution is simply where that trust problem has found its most profitable anchor. When institutions refuse to hold anybody accountable, and when keeping quiet becomes worth more than the service itself, the market will always find a way to price the silence. In Nigeria, it found the clito-economy, and business is very good.

That is the Clito-economy.

A vast informal marketplace operating beneath our public morality, powered by poverty at one end, wealth at the other, hypocrisy everywhere, and secrecy holding the entire structure together.

My dear Nigerians,

As the 2027 presidential campaign officially begins, I call on every Nigerian to reflect deeply on the state of our nation and the kind of country we want to leave for the next generation.

Nigeria stands at a critical crossroads. Our people are facing a difficult economic reality. The rising cost of food and essential goods has placed enormous pressure on families.

Millions of young Nigerians are searching for meaningful employment and opportunities, while businesses are struggling with high operating costs and an uncertain economic environment.

At the same time, insecurity continues to threaten communities across the country. Too many families have lost loved ones, homes and livelihoods to terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other forms of violence.

Our farmers need security to return to their farms, our children need safe schools, and every Nigerian deserves to live without fear.

Our education and healthcare systems require urgent investment. Our infrastructure must be improved, our institutions strengthened, and public resources managed with greater
transparency and accountability.

These challenges are serious, but Nigeria is full of hope. We have the people, resources and potential to build a prosperous and secure nation. What we need is leadership with the competence, courage and commitment to put the interests of Nigerians first.

This is why I have chosen to work with His Excellency, Peter Obi, on the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket.

Our partnership is not about region, religion or personal ambition. It is about Nigeria. We believe in a country where government serves the people, where hard work is rewarded, where young people can build successful futures at home, and where every citizen has a fair opportunity to prosper.

To our young people, women, workers, farmers, entrepreneurs and professionals, I ask you to join us in this journey.

Well, I do not blame Sheikh Yahaya Jingir.

People like Pastor Adeboye made it possible for Christians to be undermined in Nigeria.

After all, Sheikh only echoed the position of people like Adeboye, using a religious tone.

Adeboye once told us not to disturb President Tinubu because he has done his best, and that we shouldn't expect him to wear military camouflage and go to the battlefield before we know that he has done the best he can.

On the other hand, Sheikh Yahaya Jingir said that the Muslim-Muslim ticket has worked for Nigeria and should be continued.

And guess what?

You will never see Pastor Adeboye come out to challenge Sheikh's position.

Why?

Because he is very much comfortable with it.

I am deeply concerned by the comments made by Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir at an event in Kano this weekend.

At this critical moment in our nation’s history, statements that promote division and disunity must be firmly discouraged. It is particularly troubling to hear such rhetoric from a religious leader of Sheikh Jingir’s stature and influence.

Let it be clearly stated: the good people of Kano do not endorse or support these divisive remarks.

Political and religious leaders alike carry a solemn responsibility to uphold truth, foster unity, and advance reconciliation. We must not lend our voices to utterances capable of undermining the very foundation of our nationhood.

The 2027 general elections will be an opportunity for Nigerians to reward good governance with resounding support and to reject poor performance at the polls. This administration has earned the latter.

I need your honest opinion on this.

I think it's time we introduce the South East STEM Olympiad alongside the South East Maths Olympiad. One registration covers both competitions.

Our children have significant gaps in science, and we need to fix that as soon as possible.

I'm thinking we should split the prize money between Mathematics and Science.

We can hold both competitions on the same day but at different times.

I've been studying several world-class science curricula that are built on higher-order thinking and real-world application. We can develop our own curriculum specifically for the competition and share it with schools across the South East so they can prepare their students effectively.
