A sweet reminder from the dictionary: the word ‘daisy’ was originally ‘day’s eye’, because the flower opens its petals at dawn to reveal its sunny central disc, and closes them again at dusk.
A question I’m commonly asked is why is landscaping so expensive? In #YourGardenMadePerfect episode 3 the budget was £66k. For a garden of 250 sqm this equals £264 per m2. Compare this to a ground floor extension where you could spend £1000 per m2 (or more).
This is a huge part of the problem. Developers not even to bother with green spaces & living things in out towns & cities. How many birds/bees/insects is a plastic hedge gonna attract? Where is the nature we all need @talklandscape members wouldn't do this 🤬💚#urban#greenspaces
