I'm not marrying to the "closest region from Alola is Kanto", but i do remember reading something along those lines in the game.

At the very least, they're the closest culturally due to the exchanges.

@DetectivEsse (Despite that, it is shown that there's a rough similarity to the IRL map. That wouldn't discard Alola being as close or closer to Kanto than other regions other than Unova or Orre)

@DetectivEsse Well, putting aside that Hawaii is not that far from Japan (Closer to Mexico/USA to Japan, but still), there's no confirmation that the Pokemon world follows real life 1:1, i'd bring the Kanto reference but i haven't played USUM for a while, and my new playthough hasn't gone far.

Yo diría que en historia ambas son comparables (Y las mejores de los juegos principales), aunque BW es más cercano a lo que es "pokémon"... La preferencia es más personal diría yo.
En jugabilidad SV tiene una idea sólida pero falla MUCHO en el pulimiento
