UGANDA AT 61
While dictator Museveni and his cronies will gather in Kitgum tomorrow to 'celebrate independence', we shall gather at our offices in Kamwokya to pray for our comrades killed by the regime, those who were abducted and are still missing, as well as those in illegal detention.
We shall reaffirm that there is NOTHING TO CELEBRATE about independence because we are not independent!
It was simply a change of guard from white colonialists to black colonialists who have done even worse.
As Museveni and his small group gather to celebrate the loot and plunder of our nation for almost fourty years, we shall be joined by the families of the victims of repression to remember their loved ones - the dead, the disappeared and the detained.
We shall dedicate a session to the missing journalist Sesanga Batte, who was abducted by regime operatives a few days ago and he remains missing.

After raiding our headquarters to prevent us from addressing the country on Uganda's 61st 'independence' day, police and the military have proceeded to arrest party leaders and supporters. The Secretary General @DavidLRubongoya, Spokesperson Hon. @JoelSsenyonyi and scores of other comrades are now detained at Kira Road and other Police Stations around the city. We owe it to ourselves to resist this impunity!
@joshuamusaasiz3@bbstvug@cbsfm_ug@CultonScovia This s our country,, Uganda is our motherland, our only land where we have that true natural/descent love.
We have nowhere else to go, we can't abandon our motherland to these militia_tribesmen.. That's cowardness, it will be a betrayal of our ancestors.

The government thru @UNRA_UG recently allowed buses to use the Katonga bridge but the ban on the trucks, regardless of the size, remained!
A fully loaded bus can weigh up to 20 tonnes, and will cross the bridge but a pick-up carrying 4 tonnes.
I informed our Cabinet this morning of a petition I received from transporters who are protesting this discrimination.
It defeats simple logic understanding how UNRA and the Police can allow a bus loaded with cargo & passengers to cross but diverty an empty truck to the Mpigi - Gomba - Sembabule route!
Some signs that a country is doomed or falling down the cracks:
1. If has more prayer houses than schools
2. Has more witchdoctors than nurses
3. Has more generals and colonels than university professors
4. Has more prisons than innovation hubs
5. Has more ministers than surgeons
6. The presidential convoy has more vehicles than the country’s railway has rolling stock
7. Has more MPs than researchers
8. Has more bishops than writers
What have I left out?😂😂Add
@SpireJim@EUinUG such cases are exactly what Mr. President @HEBobiwine has always called on western powers to stop funding till Uganda is liberated from Mr museveni tyranny..
As this turn out to be against funding a development project, but rather funding of m7's tribalism.. Too bad!
