Jensen Huang started NVIDIA in a Denny’s restaurant in 1993. He made graphics cards for video games. For 13 years that’s all NVIDIA was. A gaming company.

Then in 2006 he made a bet nobody understood. He released a programming tool that let people use his gaming chips for non-gaming tasks. Nobody cared. For 6 years.

Then one experiment at the University of Toronto changed everything. A student used NVIDIA’s gaming chip to train a neural network. It worked 100x faster than anything else. That student’s paper started the deep learning revolution.

Every AI model since ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, every self-driving car, every AI cancer detector runs on the chip Jensen built for Call of Duty.

A Denny’s restaurant. A gaming chip. A side project nobody wanted. And a bet that took 15 years to pay off.

That’s the story of how one man built a $5+ trillion company the most valuable company on Earth.

Here’s the full story:🧵

In 1947, during the Chinese Civil War, 32 women from a small village learned that an advancing army needed to cross a river to reach the battlefield.

They tore the wooden doors off their homes, carried them into the freezing water, and stood there for hours holding them up to form a human bridge while approximately 2,000 soldiers crossed with all their equipment.

Without their help, the soldiers would have had to wade through the river and enter battle in soaking wet clothes, risking hypothermia, sickness and death.

Historical accounts describe soldiers being so moved by the women’s sacrifice that they initially hesitated to step onto the bridge. The women urged them forward. The soldiers understood what these women were sacrificing for them.

There’s a lesson here about the gender war.

When men and women are united by a common struggle, they develop a profoundly deep love and respect for one another.

I think we need that again.

(Human Network).

Warren Buffett paid $3.25 a share for Coca-Cola. Today that same share pays him $2.12 a year. Not the stock price. The dividend.

1988. He started buying. Spent $1.3 billion total. 400 million shares after stock splits. He has never sold one.

In 2025, those 400 million shares paid Berkshire Hathaway $816 million in dividends. $93,150 every hour. $25 every second. For doing nothing.

That is a 65% annual return on what he paid. Not on what the stock is worth today. On what he paid 37 years ago.

He held through the crash of 1990. Through the dot-com bust in 2000. Through the financial crisis in 2008. Through COVID in 2020. The stock dropped every time. The dividend arrived every quarter.

Coca-Cola has raised its dividend for 64 consecutive years. So next year, it goes up again.

People watch the stock price because it moves every second. The thing that actually compounded moves once a year.

He paid $3.25 a share. The dividend is $2.12. It hasn't stopped growing in 64 years.

🚨Anthony Gordon on the difference between English and Spanish football:

🎙️Reporter: “Anthony, you've experienced English football and now Spanish football at Barcelona. What is the biggest difference between the two, especially in terms of technical quality?”

“Honestly, I think Spanish football is the way football is meant to be played. And I say that with respect to English football because the Premier League is one of the toughest competitions in the world. The intensity, the physicality, the speed of the game — everything is demanding.

“But when you come to Spain, especially to a club like Barcelona, you begin to understand football from a different perspective. Here, technique is everything. Your first touch, your awareness, your movement without the ball and your ability to make decisions under pressure can completely change a game.

“You quickly realise that having pace and strength is not always enough. Sometimes, the most dangerous player on the pitch is the one who knows what is going to happen before everyone else does.

“At Barcelona, you learn to think before you receive the ball.”

“When I first started training here, I was genuinely impressed by the level of technical quality around me. The way some of these players control the ball, escape pressure and find passes that most people wouldn't even see is incredible.

“Look at Pedri, for example. You can press him, you can try to close every passing lane, but somehow he finds a way out. He doesn't need to beat three players with tricks. Sometimes, one movement of his body is enough to take an opponent out of the game.

“That is something you learn by watching these players every single day. You start understanding that football isn't only about what you do with the ball; it's also about how you manipulate the space around you.

“And I noticed the difference even more when I joined England during the international break.

“I came into that camp feeling confident, and I honestly felt that my technical level was higher than that of many players around me. The way I was receiving the ball, playing under pressure and making decisions felt natural to me.

“I'm not saying English players lack technique. Absolutely not. England has some unbelievable footballers. But when you spend every day in an environment where technical ability and positional understanding are so heavily emphasised, you begin to develop those qualities differently.

“You can improve your technique on the training ground, but when you live in that football culture every day, it starts becoming part of your instincts.”

“That's what Barcelona is teaching me. You don't always have to sprint past someone to beat him. You can move the ball quickly, create an angle, attract two opponents and suddenly open up an entire side of the pitch.

“And the scary thing is that the best players here do all of that without making it look complicated.

“Sometimes, I watch our midfielders during training and think, ‘How did he even see that pass?’ Then you realise they've already scanned the pitch two or three times before the ball arrives.

“That is the difference between simply playing football and truly understanding the game at the highest level.

“I've played in England, and I know what makes English football special. But Spain has helped me appreciate the technical and tactical side of the sport in a way I hadn't experienced before.

“I'm still developing, and I don't want people to think I'm saying I've mastered everything. I haven't. I'm learning every day, and playing alongside these players is helping me become a more complete footballer.

“But if someone asks me which style of football I enjoy the most, my answer is Spanish football. I love the patience, the intelligence, the movement and the confidence to keep the ball even when the pressure is intense”

“And for me, that's the beauty of Barcelona. You don't just come here to become a better player. You come here to understand football”

In 2008 Mukesh Ambani and his younger brother Anil were the 5th and 6th richest men on Earth. In 2020 Anil told a court he was worth zero.

Their father built Reliance, India's biggest company, and died without a will. The brothers fought over it until their mother split it in two in 2005.

Mukesh kept oil and chemicals. Anil got the phone company, even though Mukesh had built it and run it himself.

Mukesh also had to stay out of telecom for five years.

Anil went big on everything at once - phones, power plants, movies, finance - mostly on borrowed money. By 2016 most of his fortune was gone and his phone company was buried in debt.

That year Mukesh returned to phones with a new network, Jio.

In the video below, he announces that Jio's data, calls and video will be free for everyone until December 31.

He could afford it. Reliance put about $50 billion into Jio, and Mukesh started charging only after more than 100 million people had signed up.

Every rival had to cut prices.

Anil couldn't compete with free. His company shut its mobile service in 2017 and went bankrupt.

In 2019 a court gave Anil a choice - pay Ericsson or go to jail. Mukesh covered the debt, and Anil publicly thanked his "respected elder brother".

Today Jio has over 500 million users. This week Elon Musk called Mukesh "the real boss of India".

Same father, same company, same start. Why did one brother end up with $80 billion and the other with zero?

Jeff Bezos divorced his wife after 25 years of marriage. She walked away with $36B in Amazon stock.

But she gave him the voting rights to every share she received. Bezos kept 75% of their Amazon holdings, and his ex-wife helped make sure he wouldn't lose control of the company.

They had built Amazon together from the beginning.

Jeff and MacKenzie met while working at the hedge fund D.E. Shaw in New York.

They married in 1993.

A year later, they drove across the country to Seattle. MacKenzie drove while Jeff worked on the business plan for what would become Amazon.

She was there in the early days, handling accounting and helping negotiate contracts.

25 years later, their marriage was ending.

Their combined fortune was estimated at more than $130B, almost entirely tied to Amazon shares.

Then private messages between Jeff and another woman became public.

Bezos accused the National Enquirer's publisher of threatening to release intimate photos of him.

The divorce was already public. Now his private life had become a national story.

And investors were watching something else.

Who would control Amazon?

Together, Jeff and MacKenzie owned roughly 16% of the company, which was valued at nearly $900B.

Under the settlement announced in April 2019, the shares were divided 75% to Jeff and 25% to MacKenzie.

That left her with about 4% of Amazon.

Worth $36B.

Enough to make her one of the richest women in the world.

But the ownership agreement had another condition.

Jeff retained voting control over MacKenzie's shares.

She also gave up her interests in The Washington Post and Blue Origin.

When the divorce was finalized in July, her Amazon stake was worth approximately $38B.

She had helped build the business, spent 25 years married to its founder, and left with one of the largest divorce settlements in history.

But Bezos still controlled the votes attached to the entire 16% stake they once owned together.

She kept $36B in stock.

He kept the voting power.

After a thorough investigation led by the Chieftaincy of Defense Intelligence and Security, President Yoweri Museveni has decided to remove the notorious liar and fraudster, Stephen Nuwagaba, from state house Nakasero. He has also stripped him of the security detail he had been given by former commander of SFC, David Mugisha (Biddie): two presidential jeeps, a section of SFC guards plus a pistol and rifle.
The CDIS investigation confirmed all the details The Independent newspaper had written about Nuwagaba. The president was shocked to discover that Nuwagaba was neither a cyber security expert nor a victim of torture as he had claimed. Instead, the president found out, the guy is an extortionist using lies and fabrications to spread confusion and mayhem.
Nuwagaba, through his lies, distortions and misinformation caused the sacking of many loyal and diligent officers from state house and the SFC. I appeal to the president to reassess these staff and reinstate them to their jobs. I also appeal to the president to cause the release of Capt Amis Ainebyona who has been in jail for more than two years on false allegations of torturing Nuwagaba.
As a senior citizen of this country, I want to thank the president unreservedly for this bold and decisive step. I also want to thank him for calling me to explain to him the background of Nuwagaba and his lies and distortions.
The struggle continues!

🚨Sir Alex Ferguson on Lionel Messi saying the match against England left them physically and mentally weakened before the final against Spain:

“I understand exactly what Lionel is saying, and I actually think people are missing the point.

When you play a match like England before a final, people only look at the result. They see who won, who scored, who qualified. They don't see what the game takes from you.

A semifinal can take something from a team.

Your legs feel it. Your concentration feels it. Your emotions feel it. And sometimes, even when you win, you arrive at the final carrying things that nobody watching from the outside can see.

That's why I believe Messi when he says that game made them weaker.

People will say, ‘But they won against England, so how can it have hurt them?’

That's football.

You can win a battle and still lose something for the war.

I learned that over many years as a manager. Sometimes you leave a semifinal dressing room celebrating, music playing, players shouting, everybody delighted.

But I would look at them and think, ‘How much have we got left?’

Because the final doesn't care about what you did three days earlier.

The final asks you for everything again.

And Spain were waiting.

That's the part people forget. You don't get to recover emotionally just because you've reached the final. You don't get to tell your body, ‘We need another performance tomorrow, so forget what happened.’

The body doesn't negotiate like that.

And Messi understands these things better than most footballers because he's played at the highest level for so long.

He's felt the difference between arriving at a final fresh and arriving there carrying a semifinal in your legs.

So when Leo says, ‘That game made us weaker,’ I don't hear an excuse.

I hear a footballer explaining something that managers have understood for decades.

The England match may have been a victory.

But victory doesn't always mean you arrive at the next match stronger.

Sometimes you arrive with fewer legs, less energy, less sharpness.

And against a team like Spain, that small difference can become enormous.

That's what makes finals so cruel.

You can prepare for months. You can win the semifinal. You can believe you've done the hardest part.

Then you walk into the final and discover that the hardest part was having enough left to do it all again.

So yes, I believe Messi.

If Lionel Messi tells me his team wasn't the same physically after that England match, I'm not going to sit in a studio and tell him he was wrong.

He was on that pitch.

He felt it.

And sometimes the people who played the match understand the truth of it better than the people who watched it.

That's football.

You don't always lose a final because the other team was better.

Sometimes, you arrive at the final already carrying the weight of the match you had to survive to get there.”

Thierry Henry perfectly captures the core difference between the game’s two greatest players, framing it as the ultimate battle of nature versus nurture.

When asked by Rio Ferdinand during this 2014 sit-down to pick the best player in the world, Henry didn’t hesitate to name his former teammate, explaining: "I respect Ronaldo a lot, the amount of work he put into the game... but Leo is just a freak". To prove his point, Henry recalled a Barcelona training session where an angry Messi reacted to an uncalled foul by running to his own goalkeeper, demanding the ball, and dribbling past the entire world-class starting XI to score.

It is a powerful reminder that while relentless, obsessive dedication can build a legendary career, there is a tier of raw, unteachable genius that you simply have to be born with.

Two brothers inherit $1,000,000 each.

Brother A hates debt. Buys a $1M property in cash. Collects $10k/month. Sleeps like a baby.

Brother B uses leverage. Puts his $1M down on a $5M property and borrows $4M. Collects $50k/month - $25k after debt service.

10 years go by. Real estate doubles.

Brother A: $2M property, $20k/month. Nice and safe.

Brother B: his property is worth $10M and the loan is down to $3M.

He refinances to $8M, pays off the $3M, and pockets $5M.

He rolls that $5M into a $25M property.

Final score after 10 years:

Brother A: $2M in real estate, $20k/month.

Brother B: $35M in real estate, $350k/month in revenue - 175k after debt service.

Same inheritance. The only difference was leverage.

Debt on cash flowing assets isn't risk. It's the whole game.
