Mixing #politics with #religion has always been dangerous for #democracy. It undermines the #fundamental principles of democracy, such as #equality, #freedom, and #pluralism.

In all #democratic societies, people have the #right to hold different #beliefs and opinions, and they must be treated #equally regardless of their #religious beliefs. Introducing religion into politics can lead to #discrimination against certain groups, and #minority #religious groups can be marginalised further or #excluded from #political participation.

Moreover, when #religion is mixed with #politics, it becomes easier for opportunistic political leaders to manipulate #religious #sentiments for their political gains, increasing #polarisation and #division within the society. This can further fuel #sectarian #conflicts and #intolerance, ultimately leading to #violence and #instability.

Further, mixing politics with religion can also lead to the erosion of the #RuleOfLaw, as religious leaders may seek to impose their interpretation of #ReligiousLaw on #society. This can undermine the authority of the state and the democratic system, which relies on #secular principles that are equally applicable to all citizens.

In the 21st century, all states must maintain a clear separation between #religion and #politics. This will ensure that everyone is treated #equally, and also the #democratic system can function effectively without the influence of #religious biases or #prejudices. https://t.co/mgY9hMTfHd
