Please check out this article from @CCCF_FCSGE regarding Bill C-35. It is thoughtful, comprehensive, and can help provide a greater understanding of the work that is being done in ELCC. Together we can accomplish so much for the future of our province.

Congratulations, Alberta ECE's, families, and children! We are so excited for you all and can't wait to see how this positively impacts people across your province!
As we head into the first weekend of November, we recognize the importance and vlaue of ECEs and providers across Canada--and not just this weekend, but day in and day out. You nurture young, growing minds, care for children, support families and communities--and so much more.
We will continue to listen, learn, and remember beyond September 30th in every effort to support Indigenous Peoples and Truth and Reconciliation in our country.
SECA is committed to Truth and Reconciliation we honour the lost children and survivors of residential schools across our country on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
We will remember. We will remember the devastating history of residential schools, the lost lives, and the trauma which burdens Survivors and following generations.
Today's the day! Please remember to vote if you haven't already paid a visit to the polls. What a powerful statement to consider as we look to the future of ELCC in Saskatchewan and Canada.
"Good care is not cheap, and cheap care is not good". Some thoughts to ponder! #Elxn44
We are just simply tired. Amazing and strong Directors across this province are leaving the field because it has just become too much. I am worried about the outcome for our sector if we do not have any support from the province.” - Shared from a Centre in SK #Elxn44#skpoli
“I, along with many other centre directors I speak to, are burnt out and tired. We are tired of having to make our own decisions and then having to constantly defend our decisions. We are tired of schools being able to fall back on their Board but our decisions are all our own.
Hey @SECA_SK --Did you know that the ELCC agreement that the SK gov't signed this summer and it's becoming reality hangs in the balance of the results of #Elxn44 ?
The choices Canadians make in the 2021 election will have an impact on ELCC for years to come.

“With the pandemic, we can’t even fill all our spots, and our enrolment keeps getting lower. I hope there is a solution to help us fill the spots. Educators need strength and support with this pandemic from the government.” - Shared from a licensed Home in SK #Elxn44#skpoli
The path Canada chooses in #Elxn44 will make a difference. From families finding spaces when they need them to child care agreements with Indigenous nations to high quality child care for all children. #CdnChildCare#childcarethetimeisNOW
We hope that sharing these responses will highlight the need for a properly funded and planned out system. Please share and retweet if you are working in the ELCC sector and would like to share your thoughts too! @CCCF_FCSGE#Elxn44#skpoli
With #Elxn44 right around the corner, we hope that you think about Child Care as you head to the polls or talk to your candidates. COVID-19 has been very hard on our sector and SECA conducted a survey of licensed Homes and Centres across the province.
We will be sharing some of the survery responses as we approach Election Day. Hopefully they can help shine a light on ECE, our thoughts, and our feelings. We hope that we see a system come to fruition no matter who is elected to lead Canada.
"We have not have a Covid case recently, but with numbers rising and no extra funding for cohorts (plus the staffing challenges those brought) it is only a matter of time. I think about leaving this field almost every day." - Shared from a Centre Director in SK #Elxn44#skpoli
