We had a great showing of Local 225 members at the Atlanta North Georgia Labor Council’s Labor Day celebration! Members were able to talk with local, state, and federal lawmakers and participate in the day’s events.

Carpenters Local 50 had a great turnout at the Knoxville-Oak Ridge Central Labor Council’s Labor Day Celebration! The event was held at Melton Lake Pavilion. TN State Rep. Gloria Johnson also stopped by to talk with attendees! Great to see everyone at this annual event!

Brothers & Sisters of Alabama LU 1209 are getting it done for Craig Construction in Tuscumbia, AL, at a wastewater treatment plant led by Supervisor Andrew Fugate. 15 carpenters are setting concrete forms & pouring concrete. Well done, everyone!

Students at Chamblee High School in Georgia had the chance to speak with Southeastern Carpenter Representatives Sam Asante and Iram Perez, Jr. about the opportunities of becoming a union carpenter. The two report a lot of interest and some completed applicatioins! Way to go!
Council rep Sam Asante and Iram Perez, Jr. traveled to Creekside High School in Fulton County, GA to represent union carpenters at Creekside's Career Fair. The two worked with students at the general session and had a small-group FAQ session with interested students. Great job!
