@devoidofliberty@hasanthehun When the scale has tipped so far towards corporations to where we’re now reintroducing health hazards to the public because deregulation has gone off the rails so far socialism is the way forward. I trust corporate morals far less than the government at this point.
@elcheapseats@thehonoredone_1@ItsGutsNotGatsu@HouseofOnyx@banannerbread Why is it bullshit? Because you can’t fathom second and third order consequences being tied back to it? It’s so exhausting when you guy’s play like you can’t connect those dots. It’s like you exist in an alternate reality where people who get fucked by this somehow deserve it.
@PFuentes74@jared_shult So how did he buy Twitter? If he can utilize loopholes to use that non-liquid value as purchasing power through loans and collateral then it not being money means fuck all. It still has motion, it still has affected the trajectory of the world.
@NashForge@OkTre284954@PostLeftWatch Ah yes, hate the large swathes of people who are at the whim of power structures, wars, and policies that displace them instead of the powerful elites that make the decisions that cause those populations to make a large enough migration for you to notice in the first place.
@DignitySixer @ShitpostRock2 Offline story had me replaying that mission so many times too. Never had the online adaptor so I farmed Ethan for Class levels till I maxed.
@Reebs73488130@cocoaxbeans@Bigqadi There’s money lost in the admin costs of determining who amongst those children are qualified to receive the aid. You could feed all the children for similar costs of feeding some plus the additional complexity added by that. It could be not worth splitting those hairs.
@Reebs73488130@cocoaxbeans@Bigqadi Every single person who supports it understands that their tax dollars are being put towards it. We want to support our communities with our tax dollars.
@Reebs73488130@cocoaxbeans@Bigqadi The whole thread is discussing the merits of using tax funds to feed children. I think it’s insane that the only time we seem to have debates about the use of tax funds is when we’re trying to use them to help our own citizens. It’s psychotic and destroys our communities.
@Reebs73488130@cocoaxbeans@Bigqadi I would hope it’s obvious that feeding children is a much nobler use of those funds than helping meet walmart or amazon’s quarterly goals.
@Reebs73488130@cocoaxbeans@Bigqadi Tax burden being added to programs and thus requiring more to be budgeted to those services. When budget resolutions are made do you think that doesn’t fit into the calculation? That’s how we taxpayers pay for the rich through 2nd order consequences along with bailouts.
@Reebs73488130@cocoaxbeans@Bigqadi This is factual that companies like Walmart are able to pay pittances and then a majority of their workforce require government assistance. How do you not connect those dots that that then leads to additional burden on those systems? I make 50k a year, I can still see the issue.
@TheNKDD@pedroc_1982 Hammer is great, you just have to mind your spacing but you can hit flying enemies with the charge attack, and you have wide arcs so can deal with groups well the hard part is getting used to not dodge rolling accidentally by moving while you charge.
@MelkerJr@egoraptor Can’t remember for Gex but I know all 3 of the others don’t kick you out like M64 does after getting a major collectible (Jiggy,Golden Banana, etc)
@TheKarlKolchak@eusta47@saint_cloudy You are arguing that kids who are unlucky enough to draw the short stick with bad parents not be accounted for and to have their educational success impacted by that when we could step in and equalize that discrepancy. How do you not see that?
@TheKarlKolchak@eusta47@saint_cloudy It is massively short sighted to not see the benefits in feeding 100% of kids when we know that taking care of that need leads to better grades and student success. You’re so concerned with not spending the bit more that you can’t see the return on the investment for EVERYONE.
