Yeah it's exactly this and it sucks

Meeting new people at these larger cons felt really natural, it seemed like everyone was interested in interacting with others who were into the same stuff as them outside of their small group of friends

I'd also say it's partially the fault of modern fandom culture being all encompassing for many people while also being incredibly shitty to everyone else

The Crazy Taxi video @neogeo8man shared the other day was very good
I thought it got more than specific enough for a shortform review that covers 2 and a half games

Definitely demonstrates why Crazy Taxi is great and isn't just some like "drive from point A to point B" cab driving minigame like you might see in one of the newer GTA games

It's true most cons are just completely flooded with soon to be land waste at this point

Ever since I got my first 3D printer, I've enjoyed judging the absolute trash some people will try to pass off at these cons
Worst thing is that, yeah, they are just other people's unmodified files most of the time and the prints usually have little to nothing to do with the subject matter of the convention

The amount of trash is a big part of why most of what I've picked up at my last few cons has mostly been art prints and stickers and stuff like that
