@infernalreaper_@smoke_004 I tried, and it was genuinely enjoyable, but it was way too old for me to play for hours without getting a headache. It had the same effect NEStroid had on me, very cool, but I couldn't bring myself to play the whole thing today.
@baldheadman11@Piccolo_nda@endotheremin@idertod You speak assuming that ALL slave owners ate their slaves and excluding a priori the possibility that through systematic de-humanization some would come to consider them as fully animal, and therefore edible, while the majority maintained the "deep-seated evolutionary taboo".
@baldheadman11@Piccolo_nda@endotheremin@idertod If we are talking about people who actually view other people of a certain race as livestock, therefore not human, then some of them would probably not have any problem with eating them, even if they consider them to be inferior. Is this right? No. Are we excusing them? Also no.
@endotheremin@idertod Would it make sense if instead of subhumans you used the term "animals"? Pigs are generally considered disgusting but we love bacon. Should be the same logic, not that anyone should follow it of course.
@YungTacoTuesday@KathAntonio7@cannab1senjoyer Today's standard for development relies on bottom-up approach that must be done regularly over time. Pretending that just one year of hunger relief would bring such immense development is plain wrong and misleading.
@YungTacoTuesday@KathAntonio7@cannab1senjoyer You're so close. It's been demonstrated that when you're in a malthusian trap of development, a sudden betterment of living conditions brings increased fertility rates and overall population size. This causes even more hunger and misery once the year-long lifeline depletes.
@YungTacoTuesday@KathAntonio7@cannab1senjoyer Then you actually click the link and find out it's not a plan to end world hunger but it's a plan to "AVERT THE RISK OF FAMINE FOR ONE YEAR", meaning that it would fix nothing permanently and that Musk was right...
@kam01309@fwmann1e Though unrealistic he probably had a ton of muscle from his days as a general. Muscle memory, a short build and that environment will give you good results in just a month. Of course, not as good as Iroh's, but the fire nation prisoner method™ has probably not been patched yet.
