Pork is a bit of a trick question.
Nutritionally and biologically: Pork is red meat because it comes from a mammal and contains more myoglobin (an oxygen-carrying protein) than poultry.
Marketing-wise: Pork was promoted as "the other white meat" in a famous advertising campaign starting in the 1980s to encourage people to see it as a leaner alternative to beef.
So:
Beef = Red meat
Lamb = Red meat
Pork = Red meat (despite the slogan)
Chicken/Turkey = White meat
Not gonna argue with you because I have no experience with USA health care costs. However I do have experience with Canadian Health Care costs. Canadian health care may cover the treatment, but it often doesn't cover the full cost of getting the treatment. For many rural Canadians, travel, accommodations, lost income & other expenses can add up to thousands of dollars. My friend received publicly funded cancer treatment, but the treatment wasn't free to him. Travel, accommodations, meals & other expenses associated with receiving care cost him roughly $60,000 in one year. The medical treatment was covered, but the financial burden was still substantial.ds—or even tens of thousands—of dollars.
