Is it true Fr Lavery is traveling to Reading to personally confront Bp Sanborn to ensure His Excellency finally (!) understands where he’s wrong and Fr Lavery is right? I would PAY to see that.

Fr Lavery doesn’t take well to having his assumptions questioned or his research corrected that makes of his argument nothing but noise. All his “research” leads to - NOTHING.

Will Bp Pivarunas reel in Fr Lavery? He has no power over the sycophants who follow him and hang on Fr Lavery’s every word, but he does as his Religious Superior. My guess is that he rather likes Fr Lavery doing this work, to take attention away from his own deficiencies.

If Fr Lavery thought Bp Sanborn was in error, why didn’t he approach him privately? Why the big display on X? Well, it’s probably because he wouldn’t last 5 minutes in a one on one with Bp Sanborn.

In these most unprecedented times ever experienced by the Church, and the complete absence of ordinary jurisdiction and the distribution of faculties, how does Fr Lavery dare to hear confessions if not, essentially, by virtue of his ordination?

Since Fr Lavery (as well as his adoring and obliging coterie) presumes bad faith on the part of Bp Sanborn and the clergy associated with him, we must assume that these are the positions of his Superor, Bp Pivarunas, and that he encourages such arrogance in his clergy.

Fr Lavery presumes to “correct” Bp Sanborn on a point taken out of context (corroborated with a brief, select clip), as well as other issues, and is not a good reflection on the CMRI or Fr Lavery. I would trust Bp Sanborn’s scholarship over Fr Lavery’s “research” every time.
