One of the biggest events of the year in Sedgefield is on the near horizon - the Mediaeval Fayre!
Why not conclude a great day out by meeting up to help the brilliant Sedgefield Community Association volunteers to tidy up after the end of the fayre?
Everyone will be welcome!
What a great turnout this morning, including new #ploggers Kate and Sam. Our army collected a big haul on NETPark, alongside the road to Hardwick Grange, and on the Winterton estate. And Maggie brought along a brilliant poster that she has designed!
Thanks to everyone!
We're overdue the first plog of 2025. Let's put that right!
We'll be armed with some extra litter pickers, courtesy of @SedgefieldTC - a thank you for plogging after community events last year. π
So there's plenty of plogging kit to go round - everyone will be welcome!
Time to put you out of your misery and reveal details of our festive plog! π
You can have a lie in and you'll still have time afterwards to get to the Christingle service in St. Edmund's. Yes, there will be mince pies.
We're spoiling you, so surely you can't resist joining us!
Thanks to everyone who joined our post-fireworks display plog this morning. It was great that some of the youngsters who enjoyed the display returned to pick up litter that hadn't been spotted last night. π
We'll get together for our now traditional plog on the morning after the annual community fireworks display. Note the slightly later than usual (and originally advertised) start time.
Everyone welcome!

Last year, the organisers of Hardwick Festival did a great job of cleaning up after the event, and then our eagle eyed ploggers swooped in to tidy up some more. Time for a repeat performance after the big names have left the main stage! π
It was great to welcome Sarah and her son Owen today. Owen is the latest recruit to our growing army of enthusiastic young ploggers. And Cyril the snail also expressed an interest in joining in. π
Thanks to Sedgefield Co-op for an emergency supply of bags, as we'd run out.
Ceddesfeld Hall grounds, Eden Drive play park, The Meadows estate, Queen's Drive estate, Station Road and crimer, West End, centre of Sedgefield - you've been plogged!
It was great to have so many young ploggers in action today, along with other regulars. π
