Last Friday, @iriglobal hosted the Pristina Forum of the Western Balkans Task Force. Our discussions focused on fostering resilience against malign foreign influence from state actors like Russia and China, energy security and independence and anti-corruption.
IRI's Western Balkans poll dashboard is a great tool that allows you to do your very own analysis of data collected in the six WB countries. You can select different demographics (age, gender, region, ethnic group and education) and also click on responses to view crosstabs. ⬇️
A very cool feature on our poll dashboard you may have missed are the crosstabs. For example, here is a screenshot of the responses to 2 EU-related questions. But what if you wanted to know how those who said they would vote against joining the EU responded to the 2nd question?

Delighted to welcome @UKinKosovo Ambassador Hargreaves at @IRIglobal Office in #Kosovo. We discussed @IRIglobal programs, current political developments, and data from the recent @IRIglobal#WesternBalkans poll. Thank you, Ambassador, for the very fruitful conversation.

Last year, our @IRIglobal Task Force member @popmisa published a position paper on corruption as a natl. security threat and as a result of intensive advocacy efforts, the Govt of N.Macedonia has incorporated corruption as a direct natl.sec.threat in the new national strategy.
This is a really important step forward. Corruption poses a serious threat to national security and 🇲🇰 Government has recognized it as such. Kudos to @IRIglobal#WB Task Force member @popmisa for advocating for this initiative.
New @IRIglobal Western Balkans Poll: Majorities in 5 of 6 surveyed countries would support joining the 🇪🇺#EU if a referendum were held today — and reject Russia’s war on 🇺🇦 as unjustified.

Despite economic problems & political mistrust, #WesternBalkans citizens hint at resilience in facing security threats.
Yet, as 🇪🇺enlargement stalls & anti-#Western sentiments prevail, the region is stuck in limbo.

My takeaways from @IRIglobal regional poll for @sbunker 👇
- Surface-level public support for 🇪🇺membership masks self-defeating attitudes towards that goal.
- People are less worried about conflict than media/elites want them to be, for different reasons depending on country.
Our Task Force member @AgonMaliqi analyzed the findings of @IRIglobal’s Western Balkans poll and reflected on some of the key findings and takeaways. @IRI_Polls
