Andy Burnham voted for the Iraq War, an illegal war that killed over a million people.
As Health Secretary, he helped drive NHS privatisation.
He joined Labour Friends of Israel, opposed BDS as “spiteful”, praised Israel as a “democracy”, and called the Balfour Declaration “British values in action”. He is a Zionist.
Stop pretending he’s a radical alternative, he’s more of the same.

American imperialism won’t bring ‘democracy’ - in fact it’s historically been the opposite. Real democracy happens when the people revolt from below and take control of their resources. @SeemaSyeda_ on @LBC this morning.
This weekend at Camden Town Hall, Human Rights Solidarity had the profound honour of hosting a powerful Interfaith Human Rights Iftar. Bringing together voices from Jewish, Christian, Muslim, and broader communities, the evening was united under the theme of community, courage, and the pursuit of dignity, all in a shared commitment to justice and peace, bringing together the broad human rights community in a powerful display of unity and shared purpose.
We were especially grateful to welcome our distinguished guest speakers and were honoured by their presence:
.Welcome Address: Burak Batuhan Karakus (HRS Executive Director)
.Anna Roberts (Executive Director, Burma Campaign UK)
.Fizza Qureshi (co-CEO, Migrants’ Rights Network)
.Graham Bisset (Board Member, Amnesty International UK)
.Hajera Ahmed (Head of Operations, Solace)
.Kerim Balci (HRS Chief Advisor)
.Mia Hasenson-Gross (Executive Director, René Cassin)
.Seema Syeda (Advocacy and Communications Director, JCWI)
.Closing Remarks: Ceyda Kemanci (HRS Women's Committee Head)
During the program, we reaffirmed that human rights are not abstract ideals confined to documents. They come alive in our everyday acts: at our dinner tables, in our neighbourhoods, and in gatherings that bridge faiths and build safer, more inclusive communities for everyone.

@vonderleyen Which developments? The US/Israel aggression? The massacres of dozens of civilians? The risk of Iran retaliating?
Invoking nuclear safety while endorsing policies that endanger millions is not leadership: it's escalation. May EU citizens see what is being signed off in their name
GREEN WIN at Gorton & Denton shows that a politics of hope, antiracism, Palestine solidarity & going for the billionaires can win, & win MASSIVELY.

Today we protested in the Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood’s constituency with the Migrant Workers’ Rights Coalition.
We demand dignity and justice for all migrants and a dismantling of colonial border regimes.
#HereToStay#HereToFight
✊🏽We mobilised on Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood’s turf to demand justice for migrants.
No long routes to settlement: everyone who arrives here should have the right to stay permanently, with the same right to work and rent housing that everyone else in our communities has.
The Home Secretary's asylum policy announcement is brutal and inhumane, as our Advocacy Director told LBC News this morning.
Labour is implementing the slide to fascism. We call on all social movement forces to unite and resist.
Our @SeemaSyeda_ told The Lead:
“It is horrifying that this Palestinian family, fleeing Israel’s brutal settler colonial regime, is being treated so inhumanely, especially right after they raised concerns about poor hotel accommodation in national media.”
The EU’s 2014 ‘Khartoum Process’ of border externalisation channeled €4.5 billion to African states, some of which ended up in the hands of the Rapid Support Forces, now inflicting famine & gen*cide in #Sudan. Find out more and support solidarity groups👇
Johnny L’Anson asks whether Trump’s ceasefire deal for Gaza builds momentum for a peace deal in Ukraine. Our campaigner @SeemaSyeda_ thinks not. Interview from BBC 5 Live Lates on Friday 17 October.
I was delighted to be joined by @ProfAFinlayson for the @LRB's On Politics. Talking digital right (and online left), the champions of I egalitarianism, print and social democracy, Farage as influencer and... whether the internet is just right-wing.
What you don’t hear so much in the Western media:
Israel has also released some of the Palestinian ‘hostages’ it was holding. Some of these are kids who Israel abducted. Some were taken long before 7 Oct. Some have been tortured, raped and starved. 1/2
